Title: Need a game

More specific: I want to play a good tactical turn based shooter. I know its a dieing genre and all but i really enjoy those games. Hard to find good ones so why not ask here.
The ones i played and liked are Silent storm and UFO.

Also, is fallout tactics worth downloading?

That one just doesn't feature the whole gear and character aspect though.

Also Fallout Tactics is worth downloading if you enjoyed the fallout 1&2 combat.

It's just all about that without the whole rpg aspect.

Also you will probably like jagged alliance 2 1.13 if you never played that before.

Its somewhat more difficult than SS and has no panzerkleins, but an intresting game in its own way. Feels more like a spy novel, really.

Also, there is one game, pretty damn awesome game which name I can't remember atm. It's not that old, 2005. I think, it's like ghost recon but TPS and you don't play as one of the soldiers, you just give them orders.

And of course, there are Commandos. Not turn based but tactical all the way.

Good game, I played through that twice.

Recommend it, although it has problems on newer computers.

And then there's Frozen Synapse. It's the lovechild of X-COM and DEFCON.

EDIT: Also, Fallout Tactics did not live up to my expectations (and they're pretty low to begin with). If you go into it ignoring the fact that it's a Fallout game you might enjoy it.

Wow, was already aware that the new X-com(the turnbased 1 not the FPS 1) was comin out but I never saw that new vid before.......it made me want it even more than before......and yes Jagged Alliance is pretty nice.

BTW, to some of you X-com fans who are not aware of this, there is 1 quite well not so new xcom that is kinda close to the old ones, its not as good, but I found it entertaining for 3 days or so.
