maybe some people know this....
there is very high mouse acceleration in windows 7
it constrains the maxmum cursor speed and accelerate the cursor...
so it's different feeling to play warband or crpg between windows 7 or windows xp
so what operating system do most players use to play ??
thx~

Windows 7 64 bit. Turn off "enhance pointer precision" if you haven't, and you can get some registry tweaks if you absolutely must but I don't feel any accel myself with default (just google mousefix windows7). Put the sensitivity to 6 in windows too and don't use your mouse's sensitivity/accel. I don't even use mouse drivers just the default

windows 7 64bit, is it worth turning that accelated mouse shit off, i have a 2400dpi mouse would it make much difference.
-
DPI has nothing to do with it really.
You just make it so x movement of the mouse = x movement on screen regardless of the speed you move it at. With acceleration (Enhanced pointer precision on) you will never have a constant movement, it varies all the time so its harder to judge the movement needed.
Its personal preference though..a lot of quake players use some accel but pretty much no counter strike players do. Probably depends a bit on the game type and movements needed. Accel might not be too bad in a game like M&B, it probably won't matter a great deal if you get used to it

I keep mouse acceleration off for all my games, it leads to unwanted mouse movements just because you "twitched" a bit hard.
