Title: How often do you have to log in to avoid doing the vanishing act?

I just lost a good chunk crap when one of my team mates was Houdinied. He logged in less than 2 days ago and transferred me a pile of stuff... why would he vanish? or should I say Houdini.

It's never happened to me.  I have gone nearly an entire week without logging in without disappearing - maybe around 7 days.  Perhaps less, I can't really say.

My guess is that your friend encountered some other bug, perhaps?  Was he going over a bridge or near a river?  Both of these tend to be pretty buggy.  Though I'm not sure why he would lose his stuff, unless he re-appeared somewhere unsafe and was attacked.

I thought it was 14 days, but might be as little as 10.

Maybe they want it to be a mystery :P

That vanishing from strategus stuff should be related with the accounts game play time. So if you dont want your char. deleted in strat you need to play a certain number of hours with any of the characters with the account or something like that. You shouldnt have any place in strat if you are not playing cRPG.
