Title: Strategus Second hand information.

Strategus was and is frozen for a very long time. I dont know how the others, but for me and my friends cRPG without Strategus, is like a train without tracks ...

If you have any information or reasonable assumptions, please share that with the others on this thread!

PS. If you don't work, just tell. Better to say the worst truth than to remain silent. The truth will save us :) Dear chadz, When? :)

Post by: Punisher on March 13, 2011, 01:23:05 pm: I lost hope of a Strategus release anytime soon, at first I thought it would take 1 month max after the cRPG patch, there was the test battle for the new siege equipment and it was looking like the update was close but now it looks more like the developement has stopped and I wonder if Strategus is ever going to come back :(

You're right. Events doesnt help in the long run. Strategus, such as it is now , plus slight modification (x1 for losers and x5 for winners without earning and upkeep costs) certainly would help greatly. Details must be discussed.
I would be willing to forget about the trade and geography at the whole time needed to appropriate changes. The others will be ready to forget it to.

PS. People, perhaps small changes are easy and fast to do?
Maybe you need money for professional help at work? Say how much and we will raise money. We can do it and we want to help.

However, I don't know the details of the mod and how it exactly works. I just don't understand why would you take down the whole thing for a patch/update?

But Strategus is bugged (don't know why) with the last patch, it can't work as it's now, that's why it's down. Also, the last session of Strat was almost blocked, nobody move except lesser clans (which were crushed by bigger clans).

Many things will be implemented in new Strat (trade, craft, caravans...) This need a lot of work i guess. And we have very short info, just tease...

But it's true that many old players wait the release to play again. New players don't even know what we talk about.

No, that's not the reason.

But I hope it's up soon because I'm no FPS player and Strategus is what made cRPG insteresting for me.

Now, seriously. chadz, please, do us and yourself a favor and share some info, folks are loosing hope here... and that is never a a good thing. I do not believe you abandoned the project, otherwise the cRPG servers would be down, plus I trust that THAT kind of news you would share. I also understand that you do not want to issue the patch that is not completed. But - it is a Beta, so let us beta-test it. The plans for changes were huge so it is a lot of work, but I am sure that many people would be happy to help, this way or another. Including my humble person.

But I feel like chadz is clearly too mentally disturbed or simply not caring enough about the community anymore to pay the respect of communicating information about what is (to a good number of old players) the major reason they use cRPG instead of many other mods.
I guess the man is just joking and trying to be funny while playing with our patience; but the joke gets old... very old.

The donkey behind the last 200hours of my playing on MB:W deserves respect for what he has done, but I too thinks that he needs a good kick in the donkey's ass and start talking.

To be honest, I still don't get how it works/use to work. Isn't there any Startegus guide or something?
