Greetings,
We need to have a key that we can press that makes us "walk" rather than the regular run / accelerate to top speed. This 'walk' speed needs to be the same for everyone, and thus should be somewhere around the speed of someone with 3 agi and no ath.
The reason for this has to do with moving in formations, but more than that. It is designed to give the player control over their positioning in relation to their team mates. This way, if two groups engage each other, while they are approaching team-mates can each move at the same speed, thus keeping together longer.. Then when they get close they can charge, going into regular run mode and engaging as normal.
if you look at battle mode games now even clans that work together well will start to "spread out" because they all have different athletics, this makes it very hard to keep moving as a group as you constantly have to adjust your self and put attention towards it. Now, rather than say that all group combat should be done in tighter formations, what i mean to allow with this feature is decrease the effort it takes for a group to move together.
I think this idea should be implemented because it does not dramatically change any of the features of "dueling" or the melee combat (unless you consider "movement feints" with walking rather then regular run), but adds lots of room for new features in simple meta games like the positioning between team mates.

Yeah what's this like the 5th tilt at this idea. I wonder why it hasn't been done? maybe its just too hard to do.
