I have no feelings for Japan.
You guys act like controversial teenage douches, if you have nothing better to say in here, restrain yourself from posting then.

No country and, specifically , no people deserve such a harsh fate and nobody can predict what's going to happen in our homelands tomorrow. It's hard to imagine a large part of a country being destroyed in such a short time,i feel sorry for the Japanese.

Really overprivileged 16 yolds should just stay away from this topic and go troll somwhere else.

Apparently there are people that are unable to comprehend what a real life tragedy is, being sheltered from such things their whole life. Once you experience a war or a tragedy in your country you will understand the devastating effects it has not material but rather pshchological. I do not wish that on you ever but if you cant simpathise with those hit by this tragedy then atleast have the decency to stay away and not be a dick about it.

Once again my heart and thoughts are with the people of Japan, may the ones that lost their lives rest in peace.

If you're so concerned, donate money and/or go there to help the people, don't talk about your feelings on a game forum. The hypocrisy is ridiculous. It's on the news so you're supposed to be sad and sympathetic, right? So like good little sheeple you come and write how your "thoughts" are with them, only to forget about it in the next second and go back to your luxurious life. You've already done enough good for the day, right? You can feel good about yourself, assume the moral highground and shake your head in dismay at the people... *gasp*... making fun of it. What's that, anyways? Don't those people know that they're supposed to feel sad for something happening half the world away?! Geesh! Here's a newsflash for you: People are dying all the time. What's happening in Japan is small time. 150,000 people die every day. Think about that - yeah, think. Now feel sorry for them all. Have a special place in your thoughts for them. Talk about your feelings on the forums. What's that, you don't have time to do anything else? Well that's alright then, it's okay to be selective about people. Let's just limit ourselves to feeling sorry (as if that does any fucking good) for the events the media wants us to feel sorry for. After that, close the TV or computer, go to sleep and go back to your 9 to 5 job (or studying so you can get one). Cheers, people, a toast for that.

Words are cheap, how many of you are actually doing something?

xant & mtemkto  you guys clearly have no feelings.. maybe if you went outside into the real world once in a while you'd experience life and how precious it is, you have alot to experience and your bad talk about such things aren't gonna get you anywhere, joking about such matters make you inhumane and to top it off maybe if you experienced earthquakes/tsunami's/whirlpools in one whole day you'd realize it isn't a joking matter, but i guess because your behind a computer screen that you can say whatever you want. just piss off will you and go back to playing games 24/7.

watching the new footages about the nuclear plant exploding and that the death toll is rising, and also that over 300,000 had to abandon their homes whilst there is shortages in water... crazyyy

Xant i dont know where are you coming from and whats your life situation, but the fact you are raging about people expressing regards for the dead in this perticular case makes me belive you re either really young, really bitter for reasons you only know or just a sociopath with no empathy for human beings.

This is not a thread about ppl dying in Africa of starvation or Haiti victims, this is a thread about the most recent disaster, who says ppl dont feel the same about tragedies all over the world. If you made a topic about some other tragedy happening in the world today many ppl including me would feel the same thing.

Doing something? im really not rich and cant donate much, a phone call or two for the Japan victims, as i did for Haiti and The Great Tsunami few years back sure, anyday i guess every cent counts. As for going there really cant leave my job, cat and other responsibilities to go help atm, can you?

There is nothing wrong about feeling bad for the suffering of other human beings, my post was not directed at you, but it seems it struck a cord and you found yourself in my post. Some positive energy can do wonders for them and for you.

cheers

I'm not raging, nor am I bitter. You're the one raging about me.

You're not really rich and can't donate much? Really? Sell your computer, don't buy any new games. There's your money.

(Also the "b-b-b-but I can't leave my cat and I have this job too" excuse is hilarious)

Kid cool it your not amusing any more, just a fact that you cant comprehend what having a job or a pet is and the responsibility it carries (btw. my cat and job were just a point you didnt get smartass) just proves you are exactly the bitter kid i was taliking about, and really have no real contact with outside world.

As for selling my stuff thats the cheapest most unimpressive comback ever.

Good lord. Now a Reactor fire?

Japan, Be strong.
Well, years after the U.S nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japanese economy started to flourish, technology skyrocketed. I think they will get up like nothing happened, and go on, and on. Asians are.. disciplined people I must say.

Also, to the idiot trolls: Get the f.ck out of here and go to the spam section at least. Making fun of such a situation only shows how retarded and immature you can be.

I think forum admins should do some very hard work in threads like this. Also people being proud or doing apologia of feeling nothing about any human drama should be banned.
It is up to you if you dont mind people dying, but dont sell your shit as it is the good decision because you can hurt people feelings.

You don't have to be sad. Just show some respect to the victims.
Being seriously sad for people you don't even know and you're just simply faking it.
While showing respect to them is a polite thing to do. At least in my book.

If Good manners, words, respect is not your cup of tea, it's time to do something.
You said that people can't eat respect. Send something then to aid those people. I can't do this, but if you diss our way of thinking, prove that yours is the better option. If not with words, then do it with deeds.

not all the things have to "do" something. everydays life is full of gestures, rituals - like saying "good morning" (you don't really wish everybody good morning and it won't make his morning good), saying "how are you boss" (by this you just admit that he is the boss although usually you aren't  interested in how he really is) etc...

it is a matter of social inteligence to understand these "manners". but i'm afraid it is very hard to explain it to somebody like you.

Strangily some people here cannot understand this:
anyone who writes or post inmature or rude remarks related to what happened today, can go die, show respect...
Guyz please stop arguing about anything at least in this thread.

I understand that this is a European forum, but... To the Japaneze people here, and to everyone who has anything related to this beautiful country, please accept my cincerest condolences about the grievest loss because of the earthqakes and tsunami.
Though the radiation level in Fukushima lowers and specialists take control, I hope that danger will not go further.

And though here in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, the Spring gains speed, ice melts and the sun heats, today it started to snow heavily again.
I personally share your sorrow. Hold on friends, don't let misfortunes break you down.

P.S.: I never thought that my first post on this forums will be about regrets and sorrow. And as I see that people here cannot show their respect in such situation, they cannot even shut up for a minute to show respect to all who was and yet is there and reads this thread, they click only "-" to the awesomebar, I think this post can be the last.

You sound like you have a couple of disorders.  Most likely Sociopath and Narcissistic Personality Disorder.  Caring only of yourself and feeling no empathy or love towards others.  You mentioned your "Mongolian" are you part of the "Athiest East" as some scholars refer to this idea of "No God"?  In reality Hinduism, Buddhism, and Shinto do believe in a supreme force or being, but it is not expressed in the same manner.  If you want to say your a Pagan, then even then there is a supreme being or object of worship be it nature or animals (Shamanism).

Regardless, love and empathy are traits of all those who profess to be human, even if they are Athiest.  However not feeling anything towards people is a big sign of disorders that are contained in the DSM II book of Psychology.

Love and empathy only make a person stronger, not weaker.  In fact, the weakest among humans are those who have no love or empathy, because in dire circumstances they are the first to run or give up.  While the passionate person will never surrender.  What does not break you only makes you stronger.  God knows best.  :P

God? What're you gonna say next? "Listen to Santa Claus"? Also there's no need to act like you've just gotten hold of some descriptions of disorders. If you were any smart (yeah I know, fat chance but a boy can dream) you'd know that diagnosing someone with them is a "bit" more longer of a process. But hey, the first psychology book has arrived in Turkey, go wild my son.

Bravo to the guys who trolled and joked on this, go ahead with your race to get -1 points on a stupid forum and keep feeling superior to us poor mortals that want to feel emotions.
Can't understand what's bad in saying that we are sorry, in showing some empaty for the people that are dying and suffering because of this disaster.
I'm sure that a japanese would appreciate much more our empaty than your bullshits.

Xant aka "Boy", I am the CEO of a company and in my 30's.  Also, I live in the United States of America.  Your lack of empathy and love is disturbing.  If you need to learn more about what disorders you have, here is a good link to learn: http://www.amazon.com/DSM-II-Diagnostic-Statistical-Manual-Disorders/dp/B000H5KIG4/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1299963575&sr=1-1

It may be  hard to get a copy of it because it costs $375 for a paperback.  However, if you go to a Psychologist or Psychiatrist, they will help you, because they have already memorized it.

In regards to not believing in God...most likely God does not believe in you either.  However, God helps those who help themselves and learn to understand the path that God has put ahead of us.  Here is a good presentation I recommend in regards to your Godlessness: http://www.harunyahya.com/presentation/atheism/index.html

Wait, you're still using the DSM-II? You do know there are later versions of that thing, right? The one you're using is out of date.

And psychologists and psychiatrists do not memorise the DSM. I know a few, and a lot of them don't use it, even the latest version.

Also, did the 60s never happen for you?  The Anti-psychiatry movement just passed you by did it?

No man, I told you. Turkey just received their copies. The USA thing is a clever ruse.

Also protip, Saffy-san, the first thing psychologists learn is that every person has some signs of disorders, but only the really serious cases(or consistent or a lot of the signs) get classified with the disorder, bro.

Oh yeah, and psychology likes to try to box everyone in neat little categories. It may be helpful (rarely IMO) sometimes but people just don't work like that. And what you don't understand is all too easy to classify as "psycho."

Xant, the entire point of the thread is to show support and humanity for people who are enduring a crisis. It is a natural human reaction. Further, who is to say these people offering said support have not donated money yet? Beyond that, posting and discussing about said crisis is one method that can be used to boost awareness of what has just happened, and you've merely decided to shoot the messengers because they decided to offer an empathetic tone to their offering of the news. You need to remove yourself from this thread. There is too much human dignity for you to be here.

Seeing how you try to beat the trolls in this thread i would like to propose 2 solutions:

1. (is the tougher one as people like to have the last word) Ignore completely everything the troll says and just continue your discussion as if he/she had never posted

2. Start off by quoting the trolls post and then type: I completely agree with you [insert troll name here]

Then start your post which obviously doesent agree with him, or something unrelated. Kinda hard for the troll to strike back when you agree with him.

If he does try to bash at you again repeat the second step.

Here is a good presentation I recommend in regards to your Godlessness: http://www.harunyahya.com/presentation/atheism/index.html

So I was bored and I actually checked out that representation. Reaction? lolololo wat.

That presentation is one of the most retarded ones I've seen yet. Why? Because it does nothing to debase atheism, even though that's supposed to be the whole point.  :|

It goes on about The Big Bang theory in the first section. Wut? How many atheists do you know nowadays who don't believe that happened? Gee, this presenter sure got us atheists there.

Second section? HahahaAHHAHAHAH. I repeat: What does this have to do with atheism? We all know Freud was full of shit. What does that have to do with anything, again?

Last section.. yawn. Communism has nothing to do with atheism, the point is moot. Yeah, some dickheads were killing lots of people. Nothing to do with god not existing, though.
"What was actually collapsing was atheism itself." Errrp nope that's communism my dear religious zealot, learn the difference.
Bwahahah now chocolate chip cookies are the fault of Atheism too. This is just hilarious because it's like he's pulling this out his ass. What he forgot to mention is that einstein was also sleeping - SLEEPING IS BAD, DON'T DO IT PEOPLE OR YOU WILL BECOME A chocolate chip cookie OR A COMMUNIST.

tl;dr: horrible religious crap with no basis on facts

Okay perspective. Japan 1600 dead, thats less then Malaria kills each and every day. Why is there no topic for those poor people suffering for days, weeks and then dieing. This topic pretty much turned to the question :

Can you joke about everything ? Yes.
Will everyone like the joke ? No.

You cant make everyone around you mourn about something that doesnt touch them, and you cant make everyone laugh at your humor.

My thoughts are with Japan too but I know, like Xant, that thoughts, nor words (nor forum talk) wont help nor harm (thus, you can pretty much say its useless) then you can pretty much do what you want about it.

I understand that some want a pure mourning and sharing topic but hey, its the internet guys, if you cant handle that truth then you're going to be real pissed at some dudes (if you arent already).

Actually, I hate to sound like a conspiracy nut, but the US is not too far from having the same thing going on. The New Madrid fault line has been getting more and more active over the past couple of years, with numerous small quakes happening regularly. Reports from people in the area state that road construction is almost constant, with roads warping and buckling on a regular basis. They are working on new designs for nuclear powerplants in the region, to make them earthquake "safer", but they're looking at possible magnitudes of 8.0 and above, and the richter is an exponential scale. It could let go at any time, destroying any highways, rail lines, electric/gas/oil pipelines in the process. This is going to be worrying decade, worldwide I think.

Most people who will die/have died were because of the tsunami. The earthquakes have very little effect as they are quite well prepared for it. The Fukushima reactor creating a new Chernobyl is bullshit as they werent using heavy fuel (U-235) so the radiation there is minimal. The explosions that happened there were due to the hydrogen formed from the cooling liquid due to the vast temperatures which made it spontaneusly combust. The radiation levels there are very low (like really low, even here in Estonia our soil and limestone give out more radiation). So really the panic about the powerplant is just a big bubble made my media and their stupidity.

Also, the above poster is right, the Gadafi thing is gonna go out of hands pretty sure as if Gadafi gathers his thoughts for a couple of days im pretty sure he will start fighting against western pressure...
