Now, I understand that the main purpose of the seige sheild is to block arrows/bolts, and it works great for that, BUT, whenever an enemy gets to it, it only takes 2 or 3 hits with a weapon to knock it down.
Would it be possible for us to get maybe some heavier seige sheilds for the purpose of delaying infantry.
Delaying Infanty not stoping. Something with health similar to a small door? Not to permanenty block up that part of the map, just do delay incomming forces?
I personally think that that would be an excelent addition to the game.

Only if it would take 3 inventory slots. Otherwise gay.

It is already ingame. That pile of wood. It stops infantry. What we need is small seige shields to hide our x-bowman behind.

Hmm, that is banned to use on that purpose. Also it's repair cost is something around 2500.

no its not banned. you cant go CRAZY with them and SPAM...e.g. pulling TONS of them out of a weapon rack. You and teammates can spawn with them and use them tactically. I would say more than 5-7 is too much.

Deployable Pavises would be a cool addition, for xbows to use in the open. I believe there is one already made.

People would immediately start to place these things into doorways. When it has almost similar hp as a door they will just place it the moment a door is down.
Which would not count as siegeequipspamming but would nevertheless prevent attackers from reaching flag.
Bad idea unless it is completely forbidden to place them in doorways or other small corridors

Yes, that I agree with. They would be ment for larger, open spaces to provide more robust protection than a flimsy, regular seige shield that goes down with 3-4 melee hits.

put siege shields in bottlenecks and protect them like you would an ally. If someone takes a swing at a siege shield, that should be a free hit on them. Get a longspear or pike near it to keep people busy. They're as much distractions as they are barriers.
You can also put them BEHIND your chokepoint to keep people from breaking out into open ground as easy. People are less inclined to swing at these shields since enemies will be standing right next to them at that point.
