Title: Improve DTV!

I understand that, simply because there's a DTV server, this doesn't mean you're interested in working on it any further.

However, I think that with a little bit of work, it could be quite a lot better!



Hey, you've already put some work into it, so why are you neglecting your creation?


Well, I digress.


- Fix the gold situation.  I'm not necessarily asking for more EXP - it's a game mode for fun, after all.  But there's no reason for the repairs to be as crazy as they are, considering the meager amount of gold *you could potentially* earn.  Hell, just add in a DTV-specific currency, Silver, which you use like Native gold to purchase equipment.  That would add a lot to DTV.

- Tweak the AI a bit, have them try to flank you, perhaps, instead of all bunching up together.  Right now, you just swing swing swing and they all die, unless you miss.  Then, you either make your next hit, or if you get hit yourself, you stand a very good chance at dying.  Basically, there isn't much strategy or teamwork involved there.

- Add some special SFX!  I'm thinking Quake sounds.  First Blood, Headshot, DOUBLE KILL, TRIPLE KILL, KILLING SPREE.  HumiliationYeah, you know what I'm talking about.  :lol:

There is no need to wear heavy armor because even if you wear full set of plate armor you can still die in 1 hit. If you take a look into the AI you will notice that some of them will have over 50 str. Which is over 13 power strike and they can kill you in 1-2 hit no matter what armor you wear. DTV is design for agi people / ranged not for pure strength. To beat the AI you must spam, spam is the only way to beat them. I suggest wearing peasant gear since you will be able to hit and run more easily.

Oh, I am aware.

This is why I also recommended fixing the AI a little bit, maybe program them to have somewhat random stats if at all possible, and have them use tactics instead of spamfest/let's all line up and die!


Then, if there was a DTV specific currency, you could have gear play a part, as you'd be purchasing it per-round with money you earn in-game, so as to not face off against peasant waves with plate mail.

THERE IS NO REPAIR COST IN DTV
I understand that it looks that way while you are on the server, but just log off and back on, or refresh the webpage, and you will the that no repair costs were taken out.
