Title: Best 1Hand Weapon

Hi i will buy me a Shield and a 1Hand Weapon. (I hope you have seen my Topic: Best Shield) Now i have the Question: Whats the best 1Hand Weapon? Side Sword is good but sooooooooooooo much expensive!

Heavy broad 1 handed battle axe and a steel pick buy both.

As advised in your other thread. Get a huscarl shield and a side sword :)

Think about length. If you have a axe/pick/warhammer you have very short weapons. Bad against bar mace, long maul, ... Also you will imho need more agility to reach your opponent.
With a sword (compare the length, the thrust and the slash damage) you can have a long reach. Think about your favorite attack direction and choose one. Then you can imho go more str (and you need it).
