Title: Urgent!

Pretty crap technical issue at the moment and I can't find a fix online.

Every time I try and start warband, either through steam or directly from the .exe it immediately crashes. It doesn't even get to the launcher.

The odd thing is I was playing not 3 hours ago. Now I've reinstalled 3 times, scoured my system for every spare warband file and folder and deleted them and restarted my comp of course. But to no avail. It simply makes no sense as surely a clean reinstall would fix it...but apparently not.

Anyhow, does anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately not. Originally it would make it to the launcher and when I started it from there it would crash. Then I deleted the rgl_config.txt as suggested and that's when it would crash before getting to the launcher. I've tried reinstalling since then and it still won't even get to the launcher.

I would say delete the crpg module and then reinstall it but i'm sure you've already done that.

Yeah already done that. Literally deleted everything I can find in association with Warband.

If you're using steam then restore it via the options. I've done it before and it fixed my problems, but that was with tf2. Should still work with this. Replaces/fixes files andwhat not.

Tried that as well. Was the first thing I did. Also tried deleting the .exe to force it to re-dl a new one. Didn't work either.

have you tried installing non steam version of the game and convert the key?

Ok fixed it. It seems I had to delete every file associated with it. Clean my registry. Reinstall and then restart my computer. I have no idea why it suddenly decided to play up  :rolleyes:

Ok it worked on first start up and now won't again. It at least gets to the launcher this time though.

Hmm well I tried running from c-rpg launcher and it gives a crash log for wse in the wse_crash_log.txt each time I try and run it. Not sure if it's related?

Can you launch warband WITHOUT the c-rpg launcher?

Nope. Been trying both from steam and directly from the warband .exe.

yep, this line right there translates to

if you are horsearcher, game will crash
