Title: Varangopoulos Armor vs Heavy Yawshan

Well i just looked at those two new armors and saw a bit odd thing at the stats on them, havent checked on the server cuz i dont have much money atm to buy them.

Varangopoulos           
weight: 22.9
body armor: 54
leg armor: 19
difficulty: 14
price: 21,219

Heavy Yawshan
weight: 22.5
body armor: 54
leg armor: 20
difficulty: 16
price: 21,511

So for 332 gold you get 0.4 reduce in weight and +1 to leg armor? In the same time it makes Plate armor look like crap unless u really want to use it for the look. Just cant get the idea here...

I noticed that too, and agree it looks like a tweak is needed.

Sometimes there is a "good looking" tax or an "ugly" discount on items in the game, but both of these armors look awesome so I think it's simply a matter of a slight nerf needed for the yawshan or (IMO) a buff for the varangopoulos.

There is little rhyme and reason to the armors in this game. I like the idea of beauty taxing items, although in this case it does not apply. Yawshan also doesn't look like it gives as much armor as it does.

In the end, remember that gold price is negligible (currently, not necessarily). Weight vs. armor is king.

Varangopoulos has 1 more body and leg armor than transitional and so is heavier than transitional. Yawshan has 1 more leg armor than varangopoulos and also the highest difficulty to wear difficulty, it's lighter to balance the high difficulty requirements while not having 'plate' level armor I guess. Plate armor still has more body armor.
