Title: Advice/Help with Heavy Cav build
Post by: HolyGaldriel on March 16, 2012, 03:32:34 pm
Hi

I havent played for 1 year and with the last update i have decided return and try a 1H HEAVY cav build with a elephant and full armor gear ( plated charger ) for fun. My main character was always
a HA and i not much sure what build use.

The classic 21/15 is viable for Heavy cav or is only for light cav ? Is best go to full wfp to 1H sword or 1H polearm or 12X/110X for example ?

thx

Do what I did and make a 27/15, 9PS, 5 Riding 3 SHLD  and a heavy lance

use a mamluk or cataphract instead of plated charger and use 24/15 imo

Just a heads up so you won't be surprised:

While you were gone they made horses vulnerable to leg strikes. Basically this means any horse(even plated charger) can be killed from one strike by a simple 1 hander dude.

^this. So armored horses are soooo not worth the money.

Use an armoured horse if you are confident you won't get hit in melee much and only want it so you don't get easily focused down by ranged.

The big problem with the nerf to horses leg armor is it was a HUGE nerf to 1h cav. Not as big a deal for lancers.
