SO i just started playing and i keep getting dominated, one hitted. Im not sure what im doing wrong, i think its probably because im messing up my build.
But right now i have the Light strange armor (head and boots) the little samurai sword looking one hander.
So yeah, what can i do with that equipment. I'm looking for any guide right now because i'm not having any fun going into battles, being unable to hit anything with my bow and dieing with a few seconds from a random cav guy or 2 hander that one shots me and then alt tabbing for 6 mins while i wait for the game to end.
So yeah i have no idea what im doing and would love a guide on a build or how to play. So can any1 help me out with the best guides?

I'd be happy to train you depending what times you are usually on, I'm mostly on in the evenings UK time between 20:00 and 0:00.
You need training really Its not something you can just read.
In terms of build that depends on your prefrences although remember to make sure your strength and agility are multiples of 3.
So for example 27/15, 30/9 ect.
Also the min maxer toolkit is an invaluable resource I'd suggest looking at that.

Ditch the wakizashi. Get some real armor. Read and re-read some of the guides here. After reading, decide on a build. Go into the solid builds thread and find...a solid build. Once that is done, understand you will suck ass until level 25+.
If you are not a shielder, practice blocking with native tutorial guys. Duel server. Alot.

Play Siege game mod, beginners usually start there.

Yes, all good posts here.
Play siege, you get more play time than dead time.
Train with someone if you can.
These forums are practically a library of knowledge (althought not all of it "good").

Thanks for the replies. I think i want to be a type of polearm/mostly anti cav person.
Is there a specific guide that is on here for that? i did the search option and i went through the first couple of pages and didn't find anything that was specific enough. Do you guys know of one thats a pretty legit and well tested build?

with that built you can try A LOT of thing, perfect for first gen you'll be OK in everything and can try out!

you can change shield to riding power throw or power draw if you want! Have fun!!

Remove the 2h/x-bow wpf and put it into 1h or pole. Reduce IF to 5 and put one more point into shieldskill. Get a 1 slot shield (Elite Cavalry Shield for example), a nice 1h and a War Spear, Ahswood Pike or Battle Fork and you will be a nice support char.

if your dead set of the strange armor look into joining one of the ninja/samurai clans, they probably have the most experience with those types of weapons. Red lotus is a good NA clan, i cant speak on any EU clans myself..
