Is there any gold limit in this mod? I can hardly past 10k of gold. Whenever I do it, everything from my equipment just start to break every single round. Repairs take a lot from my gold.
I cant collect money in big amount because of that. I have to buy something, then sell it.. thats how I buy more expensive equipment.
Is it something to do with my lvl, age, or generation, or am I just damn unlucky?

Yes wtf is this, I can't go over 172254 gold, it keeps breaking!

Cmon vibe the guy is clearly new and clicking on his name you'd see he's only been on the forums for 5 days.
Materia - I believe it works like this (not 100% sure). On your first generation, up until level 25 (might be 20 or 21 now) you don't pay upkeep on equipment. Once you get over that level you will always pay upkeep on equipment.
I believe the equation is something like, for every minute you have something equipped there's a 7% chance of paying upkeep (not positive on the percent either). But I do know that your upkeep cost is 7% of the item.
Selling items you already bought is a really bad way to get money, as you only get like half (or 1/4 of what you paid for it).
It's obviously your first gen, so I'd suggest going with relatively cheap equipment. Your first gen char WILL be the hardest. Every generation after that will give you 3% more experience with every tick. Also after you retire you can sell your loompoint for over 600,000 gold nowadays, so money shouldn't be an issue (although I'd recommend turning around and buying a +1 heirloom'ed item and making 100-200k gold).

there's a time to troll, when it comes to newbs who have a pretty big learning curve to master as it is...probably not the nicest thing in the world.
Yuu has been scolded.

Possibly. Thank you.
Sold all my equip, couldnt afford to have it. Im running in nearly the cheapest clotches possible now. Most likely will go melee, from archer.

Get a gold buffer for when you have unlucky streaks, like 20k+ .
Look in your Gear area on the site and see your total item costs. Try not to go over like 30k here. 20k is a nice balance imo. You will be rolling in gold and have good enough equipment.
Don't feel like you need to use more expensive stuff when you're new, the payoff in performance isn't really worth it. Just need gold and more generations for +3 gloves/body armour and a weapon. If you want to play archer then make sure you get your WPF up high so you repair less often (130-140+), and I believe if you take 2 stacks of arrows you can have to repair them both, and arrows naturally repair more often anyway I think. As melee then medium armour is more than enough, and there are some good medium price weapons too

Best advice in this thread is to stay between 20k and 30k total item cost and have a gold buffer of at least 20k.
Should solve all your problems ;)
PS: I am playing for 1 1/2 year now and often play with gear in that range of money too.
Sure i got some masterworks but thats not a really big improvement. You can be good without them.
They are more like the sugar in the coffee ;)
Atm i got this costs:
15,746 goldCost
1,099 goldUpkeep (max)
You earn loads of money with that stats.

This is a lot for me actually, simply by playing agi build with low armor for a while :) I usually have a constant of about 50k.
