Title: Main Character

Could I please get my main changed. I was under the impression that by deleting my main I would be allowed to choose a new one, this did not turn out to be the case :( The old on was a gen1 as is the new one.

Then...start over? You have to make a completely new character after deleting the main

I mean I have a high lvl gen1 character I would like to be my main, since he is much higher lvl than the character that was my main, I wanted to switch my main to the higher lvl character.

You can't switch your main to any of your existing alts. When you delete your main you are only able to make a new character your main, not one of your existing alts.

Reset the role on your only character, you can now make it your main.

Be aware that this is a one time thing and if you wish to change your main char from now on, you will need to delete your current main and create a fresh level 1 character after that.
All characters that exist or are created while you already have a main char will automatically be tagged as alts forever.
Just so you know how the mechanic works.
