Is there anything that can be done about battle maps on na_crpg1 server? Some of them are plain fields that do not even have trees. You could not make them any worst if you tried. There are great maps that most of the community likes, can we cycle through them? or possibly vote maps down, etc...

Agreed............ and enough with village maps too............ it's gotten better, but stilll... :|

You can go to Community; they have great maps.

Miley, yes they do. But there is usually very few people playing.

Since most of the maps used to all be villages and maps that looked like they should be on the siege server, I enjoy the reprieve of these siege style maps and really enjoy the "random" map types (even though some are created by map makers). These open style maps are the only maps that I really feel incorporate the "battle" spirit. So much fun seeing a 100 foot long wall of infantry clashing together and skirmishing. All classes balancing each other out.
So much fun.
If you want to play village maps go to the siege server.
I'm not suggesting all maps should be random plains maps, but having a mix of map styles is certainly preferred over all the "city/village" close-quarters maps.

have u guys been on the aussie server. honestly their maps are unbelievable. you guys should go check them out, try to get them in the rotation

Is that map with each team starting ontop of a hill, and a valley in middle still there? That was brutal. Once people figured out that assaulting was suicide, neither team wanted to get off, and it kept drawing.

I love the plains maps--I'm cav though, and gay, so I'm biased.
But really fuck the stupid CS-esque maps that cater solely to the big, homoerotic, manly orgy that is 2h melee. Oh, and roof camping archers.

Personally i think these are the best maps. Anyway, don't worry, EU_1 isn't any better for decent maps...

It's pretty much 40/40 open plain/village maps, with the odd city map or other. Rotation in the link, feel free to write something about rotation in the rotation feedback thread.

There is hardly any difference between EU and NA rotation.

The only problem I have with ANY of the maps is the rampant unbalance between teams.
There's some random plains map that spawns both teams on a hill, but one team has what is essentially a mountain and another hill in front of them, which are linked, while the other team just has a valley.
Vendetta (snowy village) is just ridiculous.
And then we've got that desert city where one team spawns inside it/on top of buildings with many defensible stalling positions, while the other team must raise ladders and fight into the gatehouse to get cav inside. That does not belong on the battle server, I could see it on Native where one team can play archers and the other select gear to counter archers, but c-RPG where your decisions are more or less permanent.. yeah no.
I've also been on community and don't like all the foot-centric maps. Cav really do have a place in cRPG like it or not. (I am not cav) Of the maps I played, they also seem to be buggy.
