Why it’s important to not troll people with rl shit.

It is not fair to troll people with rl shit because it will make them sad. When these players are sad they will play worse and their team will probably lose. This is not fair to the team because it’s not their fault that the trolled player is sad. They should probably try to make them feel better so they can keep their multiplier. There is no real evidence of this, but it’s pretty fucking obvious.
When I made fun of Tanken, which I should have never done, he got really sad and probably lost the round. This made the team really mad because Tanken normally fucks shit up with that stick. And is a pretty sick player sometimes. When tanken gets mad or sad he probably plays bad and screws up a lot more and makes the team lose. That’s not really fair to the team. They could maybe look into this for team balance and make mad people play with the people that made them mad so that they screw up the game for the person that made them mad and they can see what it’s like to have a shitty sad player on their team and see how terrible it is to have to lose all the time over that shit.
I know a guy that is really depressed a lot and that shit can be serious. He stopped brushing his teeth and that’s really fucked up. You need to brush your teeth because your breath is nasty and you could get tooth decay. I don’t think this means that tanken stopped brushing his teeth, he probably brushes and flosses and all that good shit, but the point is that if you make people depressed about rl shit they could stop brushing their teeth or something just as bad like stop showering and shit and who knows what that can lead to: dead pets, overgrown yards, unemployment. The list is endless.
Also it isn’t good to bring real life shit into the game because it is not fair to have the person getting trolled when he cant combat that kind of trolling. What you should do is draw a line at rl shit. You shouldn’t bring that into games and try to keep separate from in game shit. You can call someone a shit player and that’s ok because that’s in game so they’ll only want to play better and make their whole team do well. It also makes you feel good for shitting on some bad player so you do better too. This is fair because both teams don’t play shitty and that makes the game community better. Texans like me are used to trolling people about all sorts of shit and it’s just part of our culture, so sometimes it’s hard to remember that crpg isn’t an online texas. Not everyone can handle texas and sometimes it’s good to remember that when you cause online shit, a lot of drama can happen and that can lead to tooth decay or whatever else you give up on.
To summarize all this: Don’t talk about rl shit in game because it makes people sad play like shit. If you keep it to in game shit it makes the community competitive and better. I think this will make the game even more kick ass.
So I am very sorry for what i did Tanken very sorry it wont happen again ever I give you my word.

This is the most heartfelt apology / request I've ever seen...except for not.
To shine a little light on this, Suuper3 decided last night that he would use information about my personal and private life against me in open chat for no apparent reason which he learned from Hospitaller_Kellie, my ex. After talking about my personal life in one episode, witnessed by many admins and members of Chaos as well as CoN, I silenced it and decided to ignore it because I presumed Suuper realized he was out of line by bringing a real-life conversation, that had no necessary means to be brought up, into a public conversation involving nothing more to prompt it than me asking what happened with the LLJK situation.
What then happened was 40 minutes later, after I'd cooled down and was enjoying the game, Suuper piped back up asking why I wanted to kill myself in real life, talking about my medical condition and talking about my ex-relationship. There is no need for that stuff in a video game. I don't know you in real life Suuper, you don't reserve the right to even acknowledge my real name. I personally hope your ban sticks, this is the third time I've received shit-talk from Hospitaller members in a public server with no privatizing of information. It's a shame that despite how much personal information I have about Kellie, I've never dispersed it or given it to anyone. It's also a shame that you guys use it as your only fuel for a fire against me, and that sickens me to know that people are going to resort that low.
I hope your ban sticks. Let it be a lesson and the ground-setting for a new rule in which RL information and Harassing based upon RL information is not allowed--especially when that information was kept private and never made public in any way whatsoever other than shared with inner family members and friends. Most other games will instantly ban you for disclosing of personal information about another player, I hope the same is true in cRPG.

Well, i didn't see what super said, but i saw tanken write a paragraph to super in the chat, after that suuper just never responded back, basically he said only one thing and now it turns into him saying many things. I guess this is what happens when a redneck from Texas is drunk and is playing video games. Though I heard that Tanken started trolling first...

Dont talk about real life stuff in game is the lesson we have learned here. Best essay I've ever read. It has sold more copys than chapelle show.

on a more serious note, i didnt see what started off the discussion but, i did see tanked rambling on for about 30 minutes after this incident. Suuper didnt say anything after whatever initial comment was made. Tanken does bring a lot of this on himself for trolling peopl, if you're going to troll a clan or a person, dont run and cry when you get trolled hard. Dont give out personal information and it probably wont be exploited.

Something tells me you would be singing a different tune were it one of you guys being "cyber bullied" here. I strongly suggest you acquaint yourself with the rules of in game conduct provided on this forum. Trolling with real life information is majorly fucked up and kills gaming communities. If we see any of your other members(or anyone) take this kind of road it will receive a punishment just as severe. The ban was more than appropriate.
Furthermore Id strongly suggest you guys not give the "he said she said" argument when we have access to the in game logs for everything said and done for that day. We know exactly what was said that day by everyone in the server. I strongly suggest you take Shadowwren's advice and let this ban take it's course. The system is here for a reason.
Also, the ban was sufficient for me personally(even if it does come off as catty,unremorseful and only sorry for getting banned).On the other hand, you did acknowledge that trolling with IRL info is bad and that you understand that it's not acceptable. I don't care what examples you give for why you think it's not ok so long as you understand that its not ok(it's kind of obvious you're not sorry going by your tone in the essay) You even went about 100 words over!

As an Admin, Shouldn't you be showing more restraint than this? Calling someone an idiot is an attack on his personality, and this the same reason Suuper was banned was it not? I find it funny that a drunk player gets banned and yet an admin can call names and diminish someone with no recourse.
I'm not saying what suuper did was right or wrong as I don't know what happened, But as an admin aren't you suppose to be unbiased and calm in the encounters? It really does shock me seeing so many admins throwing as much dirt as those that have no responsibility to uphold the game rules and moral conduct.

This has nothing to do with the war, and honestly Suuper isn't a game changer in Strat battles, no offense, not like I am either. I just don't think the essay really holds water, Aderyn. I can separate what's going on in Strategus and the cRPG community in general.
It doesn't seem like a lot of time or thought was put into the essay. Seems like a first draft, very rough.

The idea of the unban essay is to see if you can intelligently string together enough sentences to demonstrate that you understood what you did was wrong and convince the administration team that you should get a final chance to play the game, with the next ban being a permaban. This guy just posted a troll essay with no remorse to be spiteful and keep flaming the guy.
This is really just an awful showing from anyone involved in the situation and you should seriously be ashamed and stop defending this guy and let him deal with the consequences of his actions. Which should be never playing this game again, in my opinion. Though the final decision will probably be decided by admins handling the issue and the head admins. Deal with it?
