I still find it hard to play my cRPG alts because it's more advantageous to keep on my main -- no "hard work" for alts (or rather, you get the message and it just doesn't do anything and I think "FUUUUUUUUU" every time it happens.)
So I have two three rage reducing ideas:
#1) All Thine Hard Work = extra strategus gold (when playing an alt, since we don't get crafting bonus)
Like each time you get it generates 5000 strat gold. Given you can go an entire generation without seeing the message, I don't think that's "a lot", and it's a nice perk for missing out on crafting.
OR
#2) All Thine Hard Work = +1 for everything your alt is wearing, no negatives
Your main gets +3 to all he's wearing and -1 to everything else. Your alt gets you +1 to everything HE'S wearing but no negatives. So it will take longer but over time you can build up a diverse selection of crafting items, if you play alts a lot.
OR
#3) All Thine Hard Work = just like your main, except it's for your main's saved items (on c-rpg.net) rather than what your alt is wearing.
Bring my alts back into the game, won't you? I don't like having to choose between "having some fun on an alt" and "getting my strat points".

I like the idea of the all the work thing or a free strat gold bonus.

I've been thinking along the same lines myself. Personally I prefer #2, but any of them are ok in my eyes. I miss my alts, please don't punish us for using them :(
-
Number two seems like a good idea.
-
nice ideas, i like them all i guess, pls make a poll so people can choose their fav :D
-
Poll added. Added a 4th option which basically treats your alt like your main (+3 to his stuff, -1 to all else).
-
Option 1 or 2 seems nice.
Option 3 could be abused (equip your main with uber expensive items, 4 stacks of arrows, 2 long bows, etc...), so i'd rather not.

ah yes, true

I think it would be cool if alts had their own separate crafting listing, and the points combined.
So you wouldn't -1 your main's gear, nor would your main -1 your alt's gear.
IMHO, since alts don't have access to a lot of looms, only what they loom themselves, the items they'd get chadztext on aren't going to be as desirable anyway.
Other than that, I think extra gold OR maybe have it count towards what items you had on your last chadztext would be nice. So essentially 3.

I dunno, i don't think alts should give any benefits to your main in Strategus, but i suppose something small isn't all bad. They should just remove the message as to not troll people using alts, then again, this is coming from someone who doesn't use alts. But personally i'd like to see crafting scrapped all together, it's fucking stupid, it's just another thing in Strategus that gives the bigger clans an upperhand in war...
