so i think this would go hand and hand with a faction protected banner system
1) there should be a system which calculates each round/map how many kills and deaths every banner gets, and that system should affect banner balance for the next map
ex. Chaos get 40 kills
Occitan get 30 kills
Fallen gets 12 kills
Huey Newton gets -6 kills
next map chaos's banner n the cavalierers get autobalanced on the same team, while Occitan and Fallen get balanced on the same team
2) after each map, everyone is taken to a lobby screen before the new map starts for about 10-15 seconds
In that time there are plenty of things you could add that will enhance the gameplay
add the map title and who created it
-this will give credit to map makers and give incentive for people to make maps
-add a picture of map
give a chance for everyone to load the map and spawn without getting cav raped
Display a list of all the banners and their kill counts
-maybe let the top banner have some space for a little bit of clan info?
you can have a persistant timeline displaying upcoming strat battles/events
Chance to add tips, credits, donars, or fan art
all in all this would make the teams more balanced, while allowing teams the possibility to keep their multipliers.

Actually some very nice ideas in here, but it will bring more waiting time. This way of banner balancing sounds pretty solid.

Interesting.
Anything that adds real balance is welcomed, since it provides better game experience.
No fun being crushed.
Not rewarding crushing the other.

It sounds like a wonderful suggestion, but the lobby system doesn't sound very doable with the Warband engine.

Just a 10 second lobby to banner balance the first round would be a nice a addition.

All good ideas except #4.
I honestly think this would do well to INCREASE the pace of the game as the first round of the map always leads to people being a little wary. With a team they're confident in I think it would speed up the killing enough to offset the delay.
