Title: Horse bal-ism
Post by: Hobb on March 05, 2012, 07:31:13 pm
Its both balance and realism so i put it here

Basically there are 2 many shit cav on official servers

Suggestion 1.   Horse damage when crashes
- full speed crashes into walls should damage horses bases on weight/speed
- courser highest impact, plated charger lowest
-better dismount animation. Include rider fall damage
- dismount rider on stop without killing horse

Counter-balance for sug 1.
- increase top speed across the board, but have
it kick in when the current top speed is held for multiple seconds (more speed more evasiveness/ more speed bonus)

Suggestion 2. Shatter fail lance couches
-hitting walls, rocks, trees, etc, mayb heavy shields, shuld shatter all couch lances

Suggestion 3. Riding skill affect ease of ride
- across board increase of vertical rider animation/ lance in couch and strike position
-higher riding lower animation increase

Tl;dr
Penalize cav mistakes, decrease hybrid cav

I like the suggestions and trade-offs.  I think it would be nice if you could make it easier to dismount on horse (like a button you can bind).  Also when the horse is at a slow trot you should be able to slide off the back...sucks how hard it is to dismount.

+1, using f to dismount is a bitch, i always try to drop my lance n dismount but i usually end up picking my lance back up

Thought I was the only retard...

I instinctively drop my lance (two reasons, I can drop it before I can dismount, and I want my sword on foot).  By the time I can actually dismount I usually end up picking up my lance :(
