  really really really miss my 4 weapon hybrid build from pre-patch.  So much in fact, that the only thing I can seem to do is have 3 main characters and at last count 13 random alts I play on a whim for a specific gimmicky moment.  Right now it's all about grinding up to 31 as many times as possible to try and get the xp bonus in order to make amassing tons of heirlooms possible.  Since I apparently am going to take ages to do this on 3 characters I thought maybe I can consolidate down to a singular hybrid that will allow me to swap between playstyles like I used to in order to retain interest.

Theoretical build:
Level 30 (4 420 577 xp)
Strength: 18
Agility: 18
Hit points: 53

Converted: 2
Power Strike: 6
Shield: 5
Athletics: 6
Power Throw: 6
Weapon Master: 6

One Handed: 100
Two Handed: 100
Polearm: 100

Gear:  My standard armor.  Longsword/H.Bastard Sword/Bastard Sword/Langes Messer (undecided), Heater Shield (brown), Throwing Spears (x1 or x2, undecided), Awlpike/Warspear...
Will probably also buy a regular x-bow for certain maps...

Pros: 
Ability to change up playstyles to prevent boredom (hopefully)
Versatility to handle multiple situations on the field (1h/2h/anti-cav/ranged option)

Cons:
No IF
Only 100 wpf in any given weapon
Won't be using any top/tier weapons
Loadout heavy / upkeep might be a bitch
Not enough points for 100 in x-bow as well :(
No Riding

So if you were going to build a 4+ weapon hybrid, what weapons would you use?  What would you change?  Drop 2h wpf since 2hers don't need wpf to be utilized with speed and put those points into x-bow for an effective 5 weapon hybrid?  Use the longsword 1h AND 2h'd, or would you pick the bastard sword, heavy bastard, or the langes messer (no penalty as 1her, bugged to be invisible currently though, really short 2her), etc.

Just curious, I'm gonna start levelling him now.  Won't spend any points anywhere until 30 though.

My 3 weapon hybrid build

Level 30

Strength   15   
Agility   21

One Handed   97   [4 WPF cost]
Two Handed   120   [6 WPF cost]
Crossbow   100   [5 WPF cost]

Ironflesh   5   
Power Strike   5   
Shield   3   
Athletics   7   
Weapon master   7
I have 2 skill points lying around as well, not sure where to put it frankly.


Though I've been playing as a pure 2hander recently thats not the most effiecent play style for this build . At best, I shoot things with a crossbow for the whole round then finish off whoever's left with whatever weapon I happen to be using.

@Gorath You could drop the 2hander prof for xbows but even if you're using the top tier swords you might be a little dissastified at the dmg.

Personally, I wouuld go either xbow or throwing, I'm sure you have  an alt who could satisfy the need for the other ranged option  :wink:

i would have that build with 120 1h wpf and 119 polearm wpf and switch the 6 points in throwing betwean PT, riding and IF in different gens

also try:
24 str
12 agi

8 IF
8 PS
8 PT
4 ath
1 WM

118 2h/polearm wpf

equip: some big(long) 2h or polearm, 6 throwing lances, heavy armor

My theory is that two FOTM's combined are no longer a FOTM. 

At lvl 30:

36 str
3 agi

Converted 4 times

10 power strike
11 power throw
1 weapon master

73 2H WPF
100 Throwing WPF

Bar Mace + Throwing Lances

I have about six different builds that I play with this character, all Greek/Macedonian/Diadochi based.

Peltast
War Darts or Javelins, Elite Cav Shield, Balanced Niuweidao

Hoplite
War Spear or Double Sided Lance, Huscarl Shield, Balanced Niuweidao

Phalangite
Bamboo Spear, Heavy Round Shield, Balanced Niuweidao

Hypaspist
War Spear or Double Sided Lance, Huscarl Shield, Balanced Niuweidao, Javelins or Throwing Spears

Prodromoi
Light lance, Elite Cav Shield, Javs, Balanced Niuweidao, Courser

Kataphractos

I would really like to be able to throw in archery to be able to be a Cretan Archer, but I haven't really found a practical way to do it, so I'm settling for a three weapon hybrid.
