What, exactly, happened? I had quiet mode on and just suddenly saw that everyone (myself included) was being muted.

People were spamming chat with USA, CANADA and some other shit. Guess the admin decided it was time to mute everyone. For a while before it happened chat had degraded to something worse than the old barrens chat in WoW.

I don't think it was as bad as when people just start trying to say the most shocking things they can think of to get reactions out of people. In fact, I viewed it as just a satire on what rampant hyper-nationalism looks like.

I think in future it would be more intelligent to mute the people causing problems, or if thats too much, click a button to mute everyone at once.
Going through and individually muting people that weren't causing issues seems kinda dumb tbh lol

     Its a long running satire troll fest from certain EU players' and their perception of American nationalism.  I don't think C-rpg is an appropriate avenue for politics in general, and politics is not the point of this response.   But It would be nice if international political trolling wasn't tolerated to such an extreme, much less admin-endorsed.  Got old for me awhile ago. 

    I doubt I'm going get much support on this here as clearly a number of players join in on it, but this admin-endorsed America trolling is what it is.   I doubt players would take to it as well if such consistent political trolling occurred toward other countries, in fact I know people don't.  People seem to get much more sore if the trolling/baiting satire shifts to another target. It would be cool if people agreed this sort of thing in general was inappropriate.
