Hail warriors,
Don't you think that axes should have a bonus for crushing doors (important in sieges)? All weapons that have a bonus against shields should also be able to destroy doors faster. See that firemen do use axes to bash doors, discarding their longsword for that purpose.

It has always been there, afaik.

As from our tests - dmg to doors count only "pure" dmg from weapons.

Always felt the same to me, whether with an axe or a pick. A small bonus for axes would be nice. Nothing that would make the doors pointless.

Nothing that would make the doors pointless.
In conjunction, the "health points" of the doors could also be increased/adjusted to maintain the balance of the siege.
Compared to the game as it is now: swords would need more time to open doors whereas axes would need less time.
