Title: Tempered Side Sword for Tempered/Balanced Long Espada
Post by: ManOfWar on March 03, 2011, 04:12:55 am
I have realized the error of my ways and despise now the side sword. Would anyone would be willing to trade with me when the next patch comes out and we are able to trade heirlooms?

Why would you want to change, side sword is a great weapon even if everyone else is using it.

Why do you dislike the side sword? Range/Thrust?

Mostly the range a little, I was dueling with the espada and the difference I noticed a lot, and yes the stab is bad ass.

The trading feature needs to come out already.  It will be so much faster to grind out say 30k to buy an heirloomed weapon from a gen 10-20+ guy.

Doing quick napkin math I've realized how futile it is for my gen 1's to try and obtain heirlooms through retirement:

Given an average of 2.5 multiplier
Gen 1 : 3556.96 minutes to go from level 1 - 31 and retire.  59.282 hours.
Gen 2 : 53.89 hours
Gen 3 : 49.40 h
etc

From what I've heard there's a 9k cap on how much xp per round you can get, so taking that into consideration:

Gen 1-3 (first masterworked weapon) =  162.57 hours (6.77 days of solid 24 hour grinding)

Gen 10-13 = 29.64 + 26.94 + 24.49 = 81.07 hours (3.33 days of solid playing)'

Gen 20-23 = 19.76 + 17.96 + 16.46 = 54.18 (2.2 days)  *  Capped 9k xp gain @ gen 23 given average 2.5 multiplier *

Anyways, I like theorycraft and napkin math.  It's an RPG after all.  But really puts a light on how quickly I'd like the heirloom selling/trading feature to be implemented.
