This is a thread dedicated to posting good looking load outs. A combination of uniqueness and fluidity is what will be appreciated.
These don't necessarily need to be your own personal load outs. They can be ones you've seen people using.

Have changed my outfit several times and always come back to this - woolen cap, ragged outfit, rus shoes, leather gloves. In combination with longbow and dagger it has a unique and consistent mix of rubbishness (hey, I am a one-man faction called Hermits of the Forest...), sexyness and awesomeness... or so. ;-)

But that's not effective equipement, that is stylish equipement.

Cavalry equipement is effective and its price is in some kind of ratio to the effectiveness, style can't be compared to effectiveness.

Just saying, I am not negating the fact that cavalry is MUCH more expensive (good equipement, of course).

But you can be stylish AND effective at the same time, no reason to gimp yourself.  :wink:
This is why the game is so great. You can block a greatsword with a wooden stick using pilgrim, if you want.
Of course that's too extreme, but you've got the meaning I guess..  :)

We need more stuff from the 1500's, and stuff like Breastplates with different stuff like mail/coloured cloth around it.

Too bad I can't create stuff, I have a few ideas.

Yes but well, I aim more for a medium than lightly armored Doppelsöldner and I just pretend the lamellar on the Arabian Mail is plate and otherwise the maille and belt, bagginess and embellishments of the hoses goes well enough with the period (though it was mostly sleeves that were baggy in this period, hoses came a bit later).

I know these are parts of a full set of armour, but the common foot soldier had no money to buy and upkeep a full set, so they focused on chest, and helmets only.

Wish I'd know how to model nicely..  :)

(Sorry for going offtopic, but this is something VERY stylish  that we don't have, would be great to have these.)

Your body armor only has 9 leg armor Huey...

I love mail with surcoat (or heraldic mail with surcoat) because it has 18 leg armor.  Perfect for cavalry.

I've never been too concerned with style, I've always been more concerned with practical things like, how well will this protect me, and, is this a good deal for how much it's costing to keep repairs.

used this set for as long as i've been playing, though sometimes i swap the gloves and boots for lighter stuff. like the way it looks and the metal "tones" match pretty well, the gold/copper on the gloves and helmet match too. i am a big fan of medieval barbie

Okay now i wanna see a fancy knight in lots of armor and war horse, sided by two other knights in similar garb on horses, yet with different helms... and then 10 infantry with shields on back, swords and sides and spear in hand... and then 7 archers.

Everyone dressing the same is only the first step... next you have to "dress' le group"... If you know what i mean.

I considered using the Chichak helm as a pretend capeline but the colour difference is too much for me and I think it sticks out like a sore thumb on black armour. When I feel like going renaissance I just use the morion or armet if I really want good head armour.

Oh and you should use bearpaw shoes!

I just don't like morion(it makes you look like some tercio pikeman or conquistador) and armet is too expensive and doesn't fit the model well.
Besides it's some kind of a Polish accent(yeah that Chichak is more Turkish, thought Polish hussars use Chichaks too). And I just like it, great designer work imho.

Bearpaw shoes have "a bit" too less armor... :P Though I know it's kinda stupid to wear boots with spurs as a footman :D

Besides it's some kind of a Polish accent(yeah that Chichak is more Turkish, thought Polish hussars use Chichaks too). And I just like it, great designer work imho.

Bearpaw shoes have "a bit" too less armor... :P Though I know it's kinda stupid to wear boots with spurs as a footman :D

I think he means the misalignment of the body armour part of the legs with the shoes part, if you look at your screenshot you will see what I mean.

The Blue/Red Brigandine over mail has the same issue when used with most shoes/grieves but lines up perfectly with the shoes that were designed for it.(Green/Red Hose with kneecaps)
