Title: McDonald's or Burger king?

well, lets start this eternal discussion in here:
who makes the best burgers (and french fries)?

My personal favourite is by far burger king; they are cheaper and better.

The main reasons are;
burger king has better buns
burger king's meat tastes better
burger king uses better spices and dressing
burger king uses fresh vegetables


but what do you guys think?

Option 3 "they suck both" i used to love macdonald when i was a child, but after i realized that you basically eat shit when you go there, now i just make hamburgers at home with good meat and all, and fries that have more potatoes then salt  :lol:.
And yeah a good kebab is 1000 times better

In Austria McDonalds has more restaurants so you're more likely to eat there, but Burger King is way better, bigger burger, better fries, better sauces, simply everything :)

I am fed up with kebap, probably because I always eat them when I am drunk and then I puke them out again  :lol:

But you guys are right homemade food is still the best.

If I had no choice but to eat one of them, it would be Burger King hands down, the burgers taste alot better than Mc Donalds ( like it's actually made of real meat ) and everything seems fresher.

But in all honesty, I'd rather eat something else, I think I ate a Burger King a year ago, haven't ate McDonalds in over 2 years, if I'm gonna eat that kind of fast food, I'll get something healthier and tastier that is also actually cheaper ( They're pretty much a rip off in the UK, atleast where I live anyway ).

I'm voting Burger King.

Not a particular fan of fast food to be honest and when I do want to go all USA on my appetite I'll walk into the KFC  :wink:.
But hey. The question was wether the McDonald's or the Burger King offered better burgers and I'm convinced the Burger King is a definite winner there. The meat on their burgers actually tastes like cow compared to McDonald's rancid beaver flavour. The bun is also of higher quality at the Burger King and can actually support the burger instead of becoming all mushy at the McDonald's... leaving you with just the bun in your hand and everything else on the plate, the table, or when you have a bad day, your crotch.

Yup, Burger King.

I used to live in London and went through some major mexican food withdrawls.  The mexican food sections in Sainsburys and Tesco was a joke.  There were probably a couple of restaurants, but what if I wanted a carne asada burrito or fish taco the size of a baby's arm at 3am?  Nothing.

I'd go with Burger King.  Once you stop eating at McDonalds and then go back it just tastes weird, used to be all about the McGriddles when hungover though.  In L.A. everyone loves the In-N-Out Burger but I miss Sonic, not for the burgers, but for the drinks.  Grape slushes, coconut cream pie milkshakes, limeades, etc.

Never specific trips just for that, but yeah when I take the drive up north for whatever reason Vera's is usually where we stop when we got the munchies.   :wink:

Oh I dunno, I'm interested more in hearing about the local food everyone has rather than mass produced food-esque meals that for the most part are the same everywhere.

well it started as a simple one or the other. but if you guys wanna start talking about local places then the list in chicago i could name about 100. i work downtown and live up north and get drunk and find the best spots early in the mourning.

greasy cheesesteaks
awsome steak tacos
a million burger joints
lotssss of sushi
the best hotdogs anywhere

but between bk and mcdonalds go BK

Burger King tastes much more authentic, and doesn't seem poisoned like McDonalds. I also love a good Coke Slushy.

Oh man, we have a little taco station here in Ocean Shores, WA ran by a little old Swedish lady. But, it's probably some of the best authentic Mexican food I've ever had. Nothing better than bringing a few lawn chairs out onto the beach, watching the pacific ocean while eating a burrito the size of a large cat or a few fresh Carnitas tacos.

I think I went there last time I dropped down to OS for a long weekend binge.
Much as I hate the cold, rain, grey, rain, fog, rain, hippies, rain, traffic, rain, politics and rain of WA I have to admit that we have some bitchin' food up here, seafood especially.  If you ever drive through Ever-rot on your way to somewhere worthwhile (lord knows everett aint) you should stop by a little 24 hour mexican joint we got called Mimo's.  The chimichanga's are fuckin epic tasty and ginormous.

Oh fuck yeah, it's one of the reasons I ever even thought of living on the western side. I lived in eastern Washington for 11 years in a town called Richland, which was only a few miles away from the Hanford Nuclear Site, nothing to do there but wait for the damn thing to melt down. Deserts, radio active waste in your water, no landmarks, hot as fuck. Oh yeah, Washington is great.

Next time I go through Everett I'll try to stop by Mimo's, which reminds me I need to go to South Hill some time soon for the Taco bus they've got there.

We had a checkers when I used to live in the mid-west in Grand Rapids MI, and some here in Baltimore MD, they exist mostly in city areas sadly. Checkers is a great place and all, but my girlfriend showed me a place called Sonic over here and they beat the shit out of Checkers, but Checkers is still pretty damned good.

I googled it and you are right, I had no idea gyros is a greek food, somehow here it is sold by the same places that sell turkish food.
