Title: Buff the Great Lance looms!

You should make it so that looming a GL increases it's couch recovery time. It doesn't need a damage increase but a speed increase.

I do. I use it almost exclusively. Its really good but it should get a serious buff to its recovery time for each point you stick in it. It can feel like a hell of a long time after you bork a couch.

I say each point extends the couch time and cuts the reload.

I use it. It's actually fun, and WAY more challenging than regular lance cav. You can attack people on hills so you have to first get on the same hill, and at a distance. You can outrange all but the 189 length polearms is you do it right. It's a 1 hit kill, be it friend, foe, or horse.

But it is bad to use on aware inf cause if you miss(as you can easily do with couches) then you just took a hit.

It would be good if you could swith the couch off by blocking. Once your shield is down there is nothing worse than couching through a group on enemy only to shoot out the other side and stab a friendly.

Yea looming this item seems to be a bit pointless because increase it's damage won't work because it is not a "thrust-able lance", so better to listen to what Frank said

I think a decrease in couch reloading time makes it better at what it does with out making it OP. I would also prefer if it had more range than a HL at full poke but no need to be greedy I guess.

Me too. Cause everyone knows a one shot weapon deserves even more damage to make it even more one shoting people!

I really like the great lance, my only gripe with it is that the heavy lance is actually longer when stabbing and therefore more effective in a 1v1 cav fight.

Yeah it would be good if in a head on fight the GL had the advantage. Poking is a hell of a trick and a massive advantage in every other cav vs cav attack angel, GL has 1 shot which is to slam into the side.

I've won the GL vs HL battles before. Same as Lance vs Hlance. Courser's speed is fast and my (just slower) rouncy and destrier and can cover that distance bonus(of the stabs) quick enough for me to get the hit in over the HL.

GL does need a true use. Right now it's a gimic weapon only.

Current gl use........one shot elephants :), but suriosly poke poke shouldn't ever be able to oneshot withought breaking the riders arm.

Great lance is the best weapon for the lazy lancing that is most successful these days, but that doesn't stop it from being a silly weapon. No reason to give it a bigger boost in validity with looming than a straw hat or lady's dress.

I can see a reduced couch time giving loomed GLs too much of an advantage in jousts. People do survive couching, so the extra damage is fine.

It's only if your not paying attention or your such a str crutcher you can't get out of the way. Buff this GL I like the head on battles with it couched at my face. Sure the HL can outrange it but it's only if you time it right and if you keep them head on. So it takes quite a bit of skill to outrange it and if you fuck up you're dead and thats always fun.
