Title: Question/sugestion: Heirloom personalization
Post by: Dunecat on March 01, 2011, 03:23:30 pm
Is it possible to allow personalization of heirloomed item's name? i.e.: "(player's name)'s (heirloom title) (weapon name)" or "irc://chadz's Masterwork Battle Fork"

If it's possible, which for some reason my brain is telling me it's probably not, getting to straight-up name your masterwork weapons would be awesome.

I dont know if this is possible, but would be great to have

Arya's Masterwork Light Crossbow

In future ;D

Or maybe [put any text you want] [heirloom stage] [item name]

So i can get

Strange Masterwork Light Crossbow

or

Horrific Masterwork Flamberge

etc.

Would be great :D

and still, you would be able to put

Arya's Masterwork Crossbow

EDIT

If it's possible, which for some reason my brain is telling me it's probably not, getting to straight-up name your masterwork weapons would be awesome.

yeah,

name for masterwork light crossbow: Freaky Elisabeth
=D

In principle I don't have a problem with it, personally, but wouldn't it increase bandwidth usage having to download all the extra file data?  I mean, a lot of players have heirlooms, sometimes multiple heirlooms.

Edit: If it's just tacking on the player's name to the front of the weapon name, it would probably fine.

I would name my sword The Master Sword

That would be awesome and would add a very fun level of personalization but unforunately renaming the item would require there to be a new item added to cRPG, thus everytime someone changed their sword's name it would require everyone to patch in order to see it in game.
