Title: More Kuyak tipe of armors plz.

Well I quess awesome nordic chainmail with wolfskin is damn stylish and handsome. Every player owns one. Apparently thats the problem :(. Seriuslly, every second or third player wears a kuyak. There is hardly any originality in this. Id like to wear 1 myself. But I just feel like a unoriginal guy when wearing 1.

Might I suggest way more armors like the Kuyak so that the looks would be more diverse. And there wouldnt be 100 players just all wearing the same thing....I also noticed from alot of clanthreads that the Kuyak is 1 of the most suggested armor in alot of em. Heavy or light kuyak, really doesnt matter almost look the same. :mrgreen:

I hate the kuyak so fucking much.It´s the most mainstream armor in cRPG ever.I swear, there were times half the server wore that shit.

Are you serious?

Honestly, still 1 in 5 of the(Melee) people I see use it.

It´s just like a universal armor people use for everything.That´s nothing bad, really, but the amount of Kuyak wearers is too damn high :D

Thats soo true. Every1 has 1. Archers, crossbows, 2h, 1h, shielders, cav. I like it alot. But too mainstream.......

You could say the same about any heraldic mail. They might look different by banner nevertheless it is actually the same. But true, I see them quite too often but also love it so I am not opposed of those. Need more. =)

Don't worry, there will be more variety of well textured armors eventually and not every 2nd guy will pick kuyak hopefully.

I'm thinking when the loompack is finished, the normal versions of the native items will be improved a bit. Would probably make more people use them.

actually kuyak armor doesn't look bad, but it's goddamn too much mainstream which makes me puke when i see over 9000 guys wearing kuyak armor in a server. i feel like i'm fighting around bunch of armored teddy bears.

First of all Kuyak is a Medieval Russian armor used from 13 to 17 century.

Second, what you expect from players - for example I play this mod very long time and when I saw a Kuyak I must have it. I only play with +3 armors and weapons and Kuyak have very good protection and reasonable repair cost.
In same category protection/repair you have: 1. Heraldic Mail with Tunic; 2. Studded Leather over Mail and - Light and - Heavy Kuyak. From this 4 armors my choice is Lordly Light Kuyak (weight: 12.9; body armor: 47; leg armor: 15; repair cost around 460), other two armors are ugly for my taste.
So when you see around lots of players running in Kuyaks that has nothing with originality (at last in my case) I choose it from the reasons stated above.

Kuyak looks epic Indeed.

But it's kinda ''mainstream'' on eu1 you would count probably the half of the server qho wear kuyaks.

EDIT: Ohh I see now the post of Tavuk sorry for double post :(

2ndEdit: I don't own a kuyak and never had one even on alt characters. (but the topic says everyone has one hmm...)

ah clone wars, it would be nice to wear a phase 1 clone armor and fight in c-rpg.. i love those clone dudes, lovely!

I can't stand it anymore, it's so overused. If I have to fight some Kuyak dude, I get so sick of the view that I miss blocks and die.

I use Light Kuyak because it is the best looking armor with good overall stats. If someone doesn't like me wearing it, I don't care. Its his problem, not mine  8-)

would it not be actually a benefit from more Kuyak type armours that the Kyuaks itself would be used more rarely, like OP says?

While they are at it, they should add some more armors with similar stats to Sarranid Guard Armor, but without the "I sh!t my pants" motif.

I think the reason why Kuyak are so popular in their "weight class" is because they have a much higher quality of texture then most competition.

In the end, most of us want to look nice, hence why things such as the low-quality texture Heavy Plate is rarely used.

When I first saw them I wanted to hump them. Fantastic quality models and badass looking. Now everyone and their dog uses it, and I hate the sight of them. There are plenty of other good looking armours in game, so people should really stop whoring it.

War Mask + Light Kuyak = The gayest thing ever! Called the entire 22nd gay just now, sadly it is true.

No I don't. But you buy the first shitty cloth you see and wear it, regardless if you like it or not? I don't want to run around like Jambi as a freaking ugly beast.

This! Most of the other armors in this class just look like brown boring something low quality shit.

I wouldn't mind having more different Kuyaks, but the current ones would still be uses very often as a lot are heirloomed already.

And playing in 3rd person the most important person on the battlefield is my own character, which I see ALL the time. I don't want to look on some ugly back every time I play this game. One of the reasons I more often play as girl, I prefer to look at a girls ass  :mrgreen:

Ummm...

That would be the point of adding more armors similar to it -- so you wouldn't see half the server wearing the same thing.  In sticking to a "Norse" theme, your best options are the Kuyaks and *sort of* the mail hauberk and mail shirt.  Really, though, the mails are western European looking.

Basically just need more armors that have some animal furs on em.  Some darker chains, some partial plate with furs, kuyak-meets-scale, etc.

Go watch 13th Warrior and let's just implement everything they were wearing.

I think saying that players should not wear kuyaks at all is a little harshly said. They need more variety. There are alot of cool armors yes, but kuyak seems to rule, since it has animalfur and chainmail in it. I admit it looks just awesome, but I dont really wanna look like a medieval stormtrooper like 1 guy said.

And i bet the number of Kuyakusers went up even more eversince "Game of Thrones" came out.
