The part from 7:34 is fucking awesome. I really like violins and cellos as instruments. I'd wish there would be more of them incorporated in rock music.

Learning this one this week: Bach, Fugue #1, C Major (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvHokjQ6enI)

Antonio Vivaldi is amazing, love the power, the way he can make all instruments compliment each other in harmony. Perfection.

Personal favorite, not 'actual' old school classic music - quite more modern, in sound too, but still somewhat within the same range, yet not quite; Ludovico Einaudi - Ascolta (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IGrZ74vS3A&hd=1)  (cover with DL (http://youtu.be/iZP3tzZZ5Qo?hd=1)).

A real classic, Handel - Sarabande (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSAd3NpDi6Q) - I personally prefer it in D minor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMcBdK7jCyY) though.

Gotta give it up for Disney, whatever people might think of them and all the conspiracy bs they did introduce a lot of generations to amazing classical and similar music.

I love nearly everything Ivo Pogorelich played:

mussorgsky pictures: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89W5OfzN9CA&feature=related

bach, english suite 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zj_vw17u7_s

Liszt, Sonata in B minor: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nc7A-oO1vKc

ravel, gaspard de la nuit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKgcHjq1xKQ

list goes on...

I also like the classic beethoven symphonies, some rachmaninov, prokofiev. there is many good classic out there, but it takes so damned long to get to know one "song".

oh, and here I forgot one of those few modern composer who has a more classical approach and is not only accessible for atonal freaks like the mentioned schönberg: Arvo Pärt. truly magnificent, and I allways imagined many of his songs could be great as film music.

as done here, with Fratres for cello and Piano: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vO92REraUo

Many will get repelled by the high religiousness and the choir, but I recommend you give it a try, some parts are really great, Te Deum: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBtYwGuLNG0

much other great stuff from him out there.

There are many contemporary composer that aren't atonal freaks ( I personally don't like atonal music, that was just an example of how weird it can be xD ). Especially minimalists, like Philip Glass for example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RW3Y4OuTPHQ&feature=related

Try symphonic metal. I listen to it all the time. It mixes metal with classical influences like choirs and sometimes orchestras, sounds epic. Some power metal is like that too, focuses more on guitar and keyboard though.
I can't remember if its Veigar, Q factory, or two steps from hell but they have epic orchestra stuff with heavy guitars mixed in on some of their stuff.
