This has very likely been mentioned before, but badly needed is a way to input the number of whatever item it is you're wanting to craft.

Some items you might make 80 of in an hour and you only wanted 20. Other items you might craft 2 hours and only make 10. Also depends on the town's efficiency rate and all that jazz too, so it's very hard to tell exactly how much time is needed to make x amount of items - and if you're busy IRL you can't babysit this very well at all.
