It is getting ridiculous all the little things about throwing that need to be FIXED.
So today I get in a throwers face and kill him. So? So the little bastard had a javelin cocked back at the time and when I killed him, IT AUTO-RELEASED FROM POINT BLANK RANGE BECAUSE THATS WHERE I WAS, IN HIS FACE WITH HIS GUTS ON MY SWORD. You guessed it, dead from a dead guy whose weapon has AUTO-RELEASE when dead. That's crap. I don't see any other classes weapon still being active after they are dead. What are we supposed to do? Not kill a thrower from the front now?
Throwing. Just fix it. :evil:

I see your problem there, but you observed it wrong.
The thrower did throw a quarter second before you stabbed him, but as throwing projectiles fly too slow, you were still able to get in your stab. Solution: Buff throwing speed, problem fixed.

Possible solution #1: minimum range (model length * 2?), do no damage if closer than that.
Possible solution #2: facehug throw is a stab, no damage if downblock
Possible solution #3: remove throwing lances

That's just silly. Just fix the bumbing. Problem solved.

If you got a ranged weapon in your hand, and someone runs into you you get bumped. Don't know what to fix there, maybe reduce 2hand/polearm length, so they need to move into bump-range and stop complaining people don't get autobumped by the air they swirl up with their spamming :p

Yep, he probably threw it before you actually killed him, that's how archers can kill each other at the same time too. =)

Yup, happens quite a lot actually.
And the bumping works all the time. When people do it to me and when I do it to others.

Don't know what you're smoking, but I want some. Never had any problem with bumping since they introduced it about a year ago.

The thrower was baffled too :P
Anyhow, I don't really expect anything to change on this. It is just a hair on my camel's back of issues with ranged implementation for throwing.

The bumping is a good thing tbh, encourages archers to draw mele weapon in mele range.
only time it makes 0 sense is when you block with a shield in throwing mode and get walk into bumped :O
