Heavy gauntlets apparently do more punching damage now, and since they cost 16K you can hardly grind properly for gold in them even if it is the only piece of gear that you use (and due to being armour instead of a weapon, no amount of wpf will decrease the break chance).

So, my idea is simple:
Allow Heavy Gauntlets to count as having a "weapon out" as long as you have a real one sheathed as well.

This is just the beginning.

It would be nice if it also take armor into account, not just weight. That way loomed gauntlets do more damage.
Blocking with Heavy Gauntlets could act like a shield, but instead of nullifying damage, it only reduces it. I think that would be pretty cool.
Maybe pugilism could also be such a viable play-style that spawning with heavy gauntlets overrides the "spawn with a weapon" rule.  :lol:

Giving gauntlets a chance to stun + sufficient damage = I'm in favour of them being "weapons."

one of my alt
this play style is rewarding and work, even if long dagger only is better.

I would like to see something implent: gaunt block wep lighter then them and block heavier wep depending on weigth, str and other thing.
why? because, with gauntlet like that i'll grap some of the sword (like scottish if i'm speedy enough) and break them... sooo, anyone strong enough to slash those mace for 1 hour straight can block tiny sword with those plate glove!

even without bringin other side wep, why should we slow ourselve with useless wep?

Now, no one said you had to actually USE the weapon, so long as it was equipped.

It's total bullshit to see pugilists in terms of their use for the team, but since the same is sayable for any peasant for example, yes, allow pugilism!

I don't think it should be encouraged.  You're better off to your team naked with a pitch fork.

Ladders removed, construction discouraged, no jumpshots allowed, no running circles around a strength build with your superior agility allowed.

I think it has been well established that Fun is wrong.
