Title: Critique my 1H build
Post by: OpenPalm on February 05, 2012, 10:19:57 pm
Level 28 currently.

Code: [Select]
Strength 15
Agility         20

One Handed 152

Iron Flesh      5
Power Strike 5
Shield         2
Athletics      6
Riding         0
Horse Archery 0
Power Draw 0
Power Throw 0
WM            6

Not sure what to put my points in for level 30/31.  Next level I'll put my skill points into WM and Athletics and a point into Agility.  I use a Long Espada Eslavona and a Steel pick with Light Leather, Leather Gloves, and Khergit Leather Boots, unless I manage to save up some money.  Then I spend it all on repairs for Gothic Plate, Guilded Hourglass Gauntlets, Splinted Leather Greaves over Mail and a Winged Great Helmet.  I also have a Plain Heater Shield that I typically only use against ranged.

Any critiques?  For next character I want to be a mounted morningstar-type character.  I'm also not sure what I should loom.  Thanks for the help, pretty noob here.

he's this your current build? or the one your aiming for?

Anyway, your attribute must be a multiple of 3,  20 in agi is a bad idee for your final build, go at least for 21

This is my current build.  I'm halfway to next level, then I will have lvl 21 agi.  :)  I am just wondering what I can/could have do/done better, for next gen.

how is it works with 2 shield skill? You just run if you see someone with axe?

IMO you should get at least 3 shield so you can get a brown lion heater shield, since it contends with many of the other high-tier shields. Otherwise you'll be shieldless most matches.

I think you should put points in shield and athletics.

That, or put it on your back and manual block. Leave the ranged or two-handed heroes to take out the axe wielders would be my suggestion.

Imho 6 WM is more than enough. No need to increase it.

Round Cav Shield is IMO in the top 5 shields and its a 2 skill shield. Its one of the lightest and has enough staying power.

If you run at some with a weapon that has a bonus against shields and use your shield to block, either you have no choice because your being ganked, your ping is shitty so manuel blocking is a terrible idea or you haven't leant to block yet.

Good shielders put their precious little bundle of joy on their backs when people come flying at them with axes.

I use about 110 1h wpf on my hybrid and I notice the difference from 110 - 140 but not 140 - 160. So I recomend 135-145wpf in 1h.

I had 15str for 2 gens, I really felt the difference when I went up to 18.

I recomend going 18/18 but will out agi to 12 then take str to 18, you will notice the difference in power. Also I'm on an 18/15 build at the moment and its gives you a hell of a lot of skills points.

I dig this build for straigh up and down inf 21/15.

7IF
7PS
5Shield
5ATH
5WM

146wpf 1h

You hit like a truck... except for the whole having a 1h... Take an Iron War Axe that should boost your squishing power. And 70 HP isn't something to laugh at either. Its a good all rounder. If you miss the 1ath, go to 21/18 and ditch the shield and 2 points of MW.

Thanks for all the suggestions.  I only use shield for arrows, I manual block everything like a boss.  See you on the server.
