If you want to run fast, use at least the cheapest armor you can get.

i second this motion. even with reduced speed while holding the ball its sill not enough. a person with max ath can outrun everyone to the ball and have enough of a lead to score.

I dont mean this mainly. I think it should be like on every server and mod else. Being naked is forbidden, so take at least the cheapest gear!

If possible, an easy fix would be making those not wearing armor and/or with no weapon at all to have a massive speed reduction, akin to carrying the ball.

It's too cold to be naked, I think. #realismwinsargumentsright?

I dont think there's a big difference between nakedness and some peasant clothes.

This suggestion doesnt really fix the problem of super fast characters in rageball.

Indeed, but im pissed off, seing the half players being naked.

is it really that hard to get a shirt (0.2 weight 3 gold!) or a dress/peasant dress (0.3 weight, 6 gold!!) if youre feeling fashiony?

Armor should just be standardized in rageball. Three tiers of default armors or something, and your own weapons.

It is our christian duty to tell these naked savages of their nudity and make them feel shame. You were born that way COVER YOURSELF UP.

I thought of some are like that, but it's color changes depending on which team you are on, so you don't have to switch gear, or buy bunches of it like a certain sage.

Naked people tend to pretty well be MVPs.

But that's okay, if you do manage to catch them they die pretty easily.

My only suggestion would be to make the athletics decrease last longer, and be an actual movement penalty of some sort - i.e. give the ball some weight to further cripple low-strength carriers.

I know that strength = throw distance, and speed vs distance seems balanced at first glance BUT naked people can simply throw the ball a short ways, continue to outrun everyone, and then just toss it again.  And they do it.

rageball is full of naked gold farming agi whores, this seriously needs a solution asap. cuz the idea of the game is awesome, but it's ruined by some retard kids since its release.

bringing up standard armor woud not solve the problem:  - special-rageball-agility-builds
with all the same armor, they woud still outrun u.

to quote myself from the rageball thread:

i disagree with this since I used to play naked alot, playing naked can get 1 shot kill / 1 hit kill though, very challenging

No.  Playing naked is fine.  They are easier to kill.  Wearing clothes does not reduce speed in any meaningful way.

Please, never introduce standardized armor/uniforms.

Armor keeps people from being hit and coughing up the ball. Make it so that ALL players must be naked.
