Happend to me in the
EU_cRPG_3 Siege Sat 17:50 Druzhina a:1283 vs Senuzgda Castle a:2953
fight.
Seams that AI changes rosters WHILE fights (at full houre)
I only noticed 20 minutes after the last full houre due to a disconnect: at rejoining i became spectator.
And i seams that i didnt get any exp for my time IN the battle (or at least the time i fought since last full houre)
Cant you FIX AI rosters after the beginning of the fight so such things dont happen again? I was actually looking forward to a good battle and some great exp in a nice siege... :?

WHY introduce a reliability System if the whole roster hireing stuff is NOT reliable?
How shall someone show up for a battle if he gets accepted AFTER it starts.
How can one plan for a evening entertaiment when he can get unsigned even during the battle?

I was accepted by the AI for the battle yesterday. Came home almost right in time (10min before it started) to play in it, only to find myself no longer on the roster.

The "AI" will hire/remove people at any full hours during and prior to the battles. E.g. if a battle starts at 17:50 and you didn't make the sign-up at 17:00 you could get hired at 18:00.
If someone more eligible (level + reliability) signs up someone less eligible might get bumped at the full hour even though this person is already in-game playing.
The easiest would be if the "AI" automatically do a 'check' 5 minutes after a battle starts (or after the ready phases are over) - something in that regard - anyone who isn't on the server gets automatically bumped for someone else who signed up. IMO it is important to do whatever is necessary to keep a full roster in a neutral fief, there have been way too many issues in the past where over half the hired players did not show up for a battle while all those who were ready could just sit in spectator mode and watch.

this...dont get me wrong i am a huge fan of yours random but in this i got to say i was/am pissed of for being unsigned during battles and your response doesnt help at all. so if you just about to troll the forums do it in our faction thread or just hop on ts and all is fine but this topic is ment for serious talk.

This happened to me in one of DRZs attacks on Grunwalder castle. I got accepted and fought the battle but didn't get the xp displayed during the battle because I was taken from the roster during the fight.

Some body made a suggestion about having subs, it seems like it might solve this.
So many people just don't show up.
Its a poo pants.

The AI fief unsigned me again at the last full hour. How are you supposed to plan ahead for these battles if they AI just unsigns you 5 minutes before the battle starts, although I was on the roster for more than 20 hours.

and what was kind of great was to see a guy called fatty man or something alike get 30 kills for 109 deaths!( the max was 30 for other players...)
and guess what? he got hired for the next siege :rolleyes:

It is a bit silly to be hired 20 hrs in advance and then be removed (although if you think about it, human commanders would do the same thing, hiring a lvl 26/27 and replacing them for lvl 30/31+ sometimes.)
Maybe some notification of how likely you are to stay in roster could help?

Yeah there's always some guy(s) with 0 kills and xxx deaths in AI defences. Its not a crime to be bad and I guess this is the best hope they have for participating in strat battles. I just hope its not a case of people purposefully dying and doing bad though.
Everyone has a right to be involved and some of these guys probably dont care about how it affects strategus, but just want to have fun (must be from a planet other than Earth tho!).

I'm not talking about noobs, I'm talking about morons.
The biggest noob died 30 times, this guy died 110 times in an hour siege....if my maths are correct thats nearly two death a minit. Basically jumping off the walls and repeat...

Yes, every AI defense I see you get a few of those idiots, last time I played a castle defense there were even players from well known clans doing the same, racking up huge amounts of deaths with little kills, when some of the players on my team purposely blocked the routes they could jump from, they begun attacking our team mates.
Should be stricter rulings on Strategus, it shouldn't be for idiots just to sign up to battles just so they can jump off the wall, fail and die with little or no kills, rinse and repeat for an hour, they can go play Siege and do that.
Anyway, back on topic, the Roster should just have substitutes rather than accepting people after the battle begins and also it shouldn't remove anyone it has already accepted, if people don't show up then it can start accepting people from the substitutes. I know I'd be pissed if I got taken off the Roster after making the time to come on and play the battle.

i just got signed off the roster of Druzhina vs Dhirim. what exactly is the point of taking people off the roster in the middle of a battle and not to reward them with xp anymore? i also checked the roster: i have a higher reliability and performance rating than quite a few people who are still on the roster and with level 29 i shouldnt really be considered low level.

I was unhired as well, if you're hired you should be given a lot of preference over new people signing up, ESPECIALLY an hour prior to the battle. People who were hired and (surprise surprise!) didn't show had much worse reliability, and in some cases, even lower performance than I did...
NOW, if the player is in the strat duel server, preference should be given to them if that's even possible.
When there's a full roster, players do it the smart way, so why not AI?
Another solution: Add backup players to the roster. They won't be main players but if somebody doesn't show, D/Cs, gets banned, etc. they can be there to fill in the spots. This will probably drive up more interest in strat as currently a lot of people are left in the cold due to full rosters/glitches/errors and get frustrated quickly.
