It has been suggested before but it hasn't gathered much attention: We have to do something against the voicespamming.
It is so utterly annoying that sometimes I would rather walk away from a critical strategic location than to stay and listen to the imbecile morons spamming "HOLD!" or even something unrelated... Muting a player doesn't help it. Muting the voices entirely wouldn't be the right way to go, as they are a good addition to the game.
So, let's gather ideas on how to stop this spamming.
I think a cooldown of 5 seconds would be sufficient.
Is this possible to code?
What are your other ideas?
Edit: Fixed typos

Q M V
press the following keys when joining a server an your problem is solved

I is voicespammer. It are only way to drown out the voices in me head, that are reminding me of my tiny dick. Sums it up pretty good
Well the problem is, I'm sometimes lost in the command menu, clicking the wrong buttons. A cooldown timer could mean dead if you try to whistle for a horse or try to tell your teammates something important (like "incoming dickhead from the sky").

Not sure what qmv does, i'm assuming it mutes voices? that wouldn't be the answer for me, they can be helpful.
Also, the 5 second cool down is a good idea, but it's going to fuck over people whistling for horses.

Voicespam is usually a pretty good way to get peoples attention when they dont read chat.

I really don't think so. When the chat is full of green text from the voicespam, i can hardly make out anything other written. Also, annoyed with half of the screen being covered by a textwall, many people change the font size to a smaller than default one.
EDIT: Saying "incoming ... from behind" once or twice by one or two people is good for alerting, but having that other guy around spamming "I am defending my dick" all the time isn't. So how exactly would a cooldown hinder you from alerting your team?

I never understood the rage against voicespamming. I only hate that a textual representation clutters up the chat, but the actual audio? Doesn't bother me, even if 10 guys are spamming "CHARGE" all the time.
I'm not sure if a cooldown would work, because 10 guys spamming still means cacophony with a 5 sec delay. It's worth a try, though. Maybe it should only kick in after the third voice command, or whistling should be excluded, or something.

Yeah it should only kick in after the 3rd command, or whistling should be excluded (if it could be).

Permaban at the first offence.

That is where you're wrong. They are not a good addition to the game and are completely useless to me. I wish I could permanently QMV. Now I just press QMV whenever I get bothered by it. Which is quite often.

I think that, generally speaking, having the possibility to warn your teammates without typing is better than not having the possibility. Imho it just needs a little fix.
