Hey Guys,
At first, I had bought Mount and Blade. It was installed on two computers for the enjoyment of me and my brother. Since my brother wanted to play cRPG and other things, he bought the game. We uninstalled the game on one computer, and reinstalled using the other key. This did not work, as we tested it by trying to play multiplayer at the same time (one gets auto kicked). We then discovered, due to a bit of stupidity, that the key is in the registry. We changed that and we still ended up unable to play at the same time. Could someone give some suggestions on a fix for this?
Some other things you should know:
- Both copies of Warband were purchased on Amazon.com as a digital download. Unfortunately, neither can be activated on Steam.
- Changing the Registry entries did nothing.
- Deleting the Registry entries for the CD-Key and re-authenticating did not work.
-
Try downloading from Taleworlds.

The download source does not matter, the file is the same.

On the machine your brother uses with the new key, delete the entry MountAndBladeWarbandKeys (the whole "folder" in reg edit)
Then launch Warband and reenter your brother's key.
Have him create a new character and let me know the name.

It worked, although the TKoV Ventrillo helped me before you did. xD
Thanks for your time, my brother often goes by the name of Jack O Sano, or some variation. I don't think he has created an account yet, as the fix happened late in the night, and he was playing Mount and Musket with his regiment.

Glad you got it worked out
Have fun!
