Title: Battle Payment
Post by: Lumeos on January 26, 2012, 10:06:36 am
Hey guys, I'm quiet new to the strategus thing. I really appreciate it, but I now participated on three battles, but got paying for neither of them. How does the payment work?

Greetings, Lumeos

It is up to the guy who's battle your fighting if he pays you or not. So basically, u get positive k/d and are in top of your team, you usually get paid.

Depends on the person you're fighting for. It is generally good practice to pay people, unless they are doing horribad/disobeying orders. You might want to contact them directly to find out why you haven't been paid.

Also being in the TS (teamspeak) given in the information and doing well is a way to get paid for a battle. If you get 0 kills and 24 deaths, you should not expect payment.

Basis is you don't get paid unless they are especially good willed or they are advertising for payments. AI doesn't pay you anything either, so don't be expecting much incomes from strat battles. Heh, actually just checked my past battles on current strat and a total sum that's been paid to me is 15 gold for 32 battles .

My suggestion is to keep your payments low, 15-30 gold. That way you will not clog the roster with 500 gold demands. Personaly when I hire my mercs I stick with people I know and trust and do not hire anyone that asks for more than 30 for a first run.

Battles where it is 20 vs 1 (or 0) for example are good places to find the guys that are raiding and robbing. Amusingly enough they are most likely to pay.

I've payed out on nearly every battle anyone has fought for me. Even if they just turn into strolls in the park.

Cheers,
Frank

Look for Commity of public safty in the battles list. Show up to a couple and you'll get paid.

5 Strat gold is a good way to start if 10 doesn't work

I pay all my soldiers in HATS.

A hat for every man in my army.

The big reason to do strat battles for me is the experience.. not only actually learning the ropes but you get a lot of actual character experience as well.

Even if you demand money they don't have to pay you, as has been said.  If you request a small amount of money and do alright, you'll likely be paid.

Keep in mind that you're 100% fighting with their equipment (which they bought) and their soldiers (which they pay for) so you're contributing a warm body, in essence.  If you use a lot of their tickets (soldiers) and overall don't accomplish much, that will eat into your possible earnings.

Edit: Also, pick up weapons off the battlefield.  Your commander will appreciate it.

What's the "application"?
You can only be payed is strat gold, not crpg gold?
