WHY DOES IT KNOCK PEOPLE DOWN, ITS A VERY SMALL HAMMER THAT'S ONE HANDED.   :(

I don't really know. Because that is the damage assigned to it, and knockdown is determined by raw damage. Why is my computer case black?

There's only one way to settle this, find a military hammer online, purchase it and then get a friend/relative to hit you several times to determine the knockdown capability of the weapon.

Also if you could post a video of your findings I'd be most grateful.

It has knockdown cause it has a big head and a flat space that hits with blunt dmg. No cutting of your flesh, but a heavy impact.

Imagine it as Bud Spencer's hand. He hits people's neck and they fall to the ground. The hammer works the same^^

The head of the military hammer is actually quite large!  Larger than the other 1h hammers I do believe.
