I have no idea about numbers(so I just took -2 off of what I think should be lowered for using in 2h mode), but my idea would have wakizashi in 2h mode lowering the speed of the weapon & lowering the pierce damage on the stab.

I think it would be neat to add another 1h/2h for variety, + wakizashi is pretty expensive. I think due to super low difficulty, decent stats & being weeaboo maybe with a 2h secondary mode the price would be even more justified.

Anyways just ideas, have at it!

after thinking really hard on it I doubt this will go through, but it would be cool IMO.
and as I stated I have no idea about numbers stats-wise this was just a suggestion about 2h Secondary mode on the wakizashi.

Wouldn't hurt really. Wakizashi is really a terrible weapon currently that you only want to use for trolling. Having a 2h mode of it would make it at least usable for piker weeaboo or something.

Usually when a 1 hander is used as a 2 hander the speed increases, and the damage increases, not the other way around.

No bad idea I just would say +1 Speed (maybe +1 damage) and remove thrust in my opinion it's unrealistic a 2handed thrust with the wakizashi

It'd give the Waki something special about it to make it more worth the price, like how the pikemen could carry a 1-slot shield and a lame shortsword to go with the long pole of death.  :)

Would also make for an expensive archer sidearm (that really sucks), if the dude has money to burn and wants to carry tons of arrows (that really don't do anything anymore).  :lol:

Not to mention that it would be pretty badass to see a dude walking around with a Nodachi on his back and the Katana and Waki at his side. Always wanted to see that.

Crap you're right, anyways the numbers I have no idea about, the main suggestion is 2h mode for Wakizashi lol.

Well the wakizashi in c-rpg is literally just a shorter katana so I imagine stabbing with either is quite possible.

Well I disagree that it is a terrible weapon even with it's current stats (without 2h secondary) it's quite formidable with the right specialized build & in the right hands though it's price makes you second guess choosing it over another one of the short and fast cutting swords unless of course your build is set around 4 STR. IMO giving it a 2h secondary would make it different from choosing say an Italian Falchion, or Scottish sword

I think the idea behind Wakizashi being as expensive as a top tier 1h yet having slightly lesser stats is due to the difficulty and to make weeaboo items more rare, so as much as I'd love to wear 3 swords again like before the slots system I think this would have you seeing a lot more of the wakizashi being used by people using up their slots and needing a 0 slot weapon as opposed to people actually wanting to use the weapon they would choose it due to being better than the other 0 slots, even if it was expensive. Just my opinion. :D

I do think that simply making it some sort of not-that-good (so, not changing any other stat) 0 slot high-tier weapon would be enough. Very cool weaboo sidearm.

Makes perfect sense actually , wakizashi can be held with both hands easily. Unlike a dagger, for example. It's a really short sword, not a dagger-type weapon. I don't see how one can use a Langes Messer in 2h  per say , but not a wakizashi. It's not like it's gonna be a balance issue anyway.

Either 2h mode or make it 0-slot would be nice. 0-slot for samurai/ninjas who want to looks stylish or archers. Or 2h for me or other weaboos to play with  :wink:
