Due to lack of intrest, the Ranged event is canceled, in its place the STF 1vs1 melee event will take place. The place melee Arena.

1vs1 STF tournament
Participants make a STF char with the equip worth of 10,217 gold (default starting gold, after selling crap), if the more expensive gear will be spotted it will mean DQ
Participants make STF with names provided by me, so that no one knows who they are fighting against, name will be revealed after the tournament
Single or Double elimination bracket based on the number of participants
Fights up until semi finals are best of one
Semi finals are best of three
Finals are best of five

Rules (in arena):
- Two men enters one man leaves
- No picking up weapons/shields

Rules (global):
- Dont act like a tard
- Dont kill fellow spectators or participants
- Everybody starts as spectators (without horse and weapon), unless told otherwise
- Ground level in the map is reserved for the participants, and people handling the tournament
- If any spectator go to ground level kick/ban without warning will occur
- When team will be called to get ready, they need to go to waiting tent (either red or blue, told by admin) in time up to 3 minutes

I think that when you make a STF char and sell all the starting crap he has you get up to 11k gold.  :wink:

I signed you up as Polobow, ill be pming all participants with names for their STF char before tournament starts, so just be sure you will be able to create a STF char before tournament

as for weapons/armor, you buy whatever you want for the default money on your STF char

Oh and also, pretty damn good organisation and tourney format. Pretty much the best way to do 1 vs 1's in a single session. Good job Chagan! Now if you would just show me this thread a week before next time, so I dont make a stf too soon before the tourney!

Chagan can you put the real names into the tourney graph, so we can laugh at those that got eliminated early without having to look to the names list everytime.

Great tournament, thanks a lot for organizing it. If you are going to organize furhter tournaments you should really blacklist those people who decided to not show up, things would go more smoothly. Also maybe have bof 3 for further tournaments so things would be less random :P.

Congrats to senni and tor. A suggestion for the next tourney: Don't bother making the bracket before hand, I've never witnessed a tournament where there wasn't at least 1 drop out. Arrange a time that everybody needs to be on the server with the correct name/gear/whatever, see who shows up and then make the bracket. Also please add some stairs from the spectator area to the arena entrance, having to walk sucks :D

I won 3 rounds by default, because my 4 opponents didn't show up  :lol:

I also regret taking a bastard sword, i'm used to the range of polearm :/.

Thanks for this, here are some suggestions:

The map:

- On the weekends I play on a much older machine than usual, and even with dx7, lowest setting and low resolution I was still having bad fps and laggs. The map is (very) cool and all, but you might want to split it up for tourney-specific purposes.

- The walk from spec to the arena was a long one, might want to add a balcony of sorts close to the arena entrance for participants who want to spectate.

The organization:

- I'm with Saint here regarding the brackets. In a group of 25 people there are always going to be a few dropouts.


+1 for the double elimination system, it was great.

+1 for the arena in itself, felt big enough to give some space to fight in and looked cool.
