Yeah, well, i am too lazy to make a thread even. Also, i am not the original author, i overheard the idea of bandit lairs somewhere else, i just added some details.

Idea being that you can only create one lair/hideout/camp a week or so after your faction has had the required number of members (to prevent exploits), can do so anywhere on the map, it can only be spotted by people not in that faction if they are VERY close to it (on top of it?).
It can only be entered by members of that faction, who can then either hide there, recruit (with lower chances than in a village), craft basic equip (no trade goods), sell loot at a very low price and store stuff. People of other factions can attack it (once they've found it), destroying it and thus leaving the bandit faction without a hideout for another week. :(

Should make bandit factions less dependant on neutral/unguarded fiefs and make it somewhat easier for them to organise, as well as encourage more banditry. Right?

yeah if you have no other fiefs :P and it would be a very very poor sustitute for a village
