So, tomorrow, 16:00 CET we want to try out some new features of the game, and have some fun while doing that.

So what we are planning is to do a pickup game via http://battlegroups.c-rpg.net

So, for those of you who don't know what a pickup game is - it's basically what you did in gym. You pick 2 captains, one for each team, and those captains then pick the players for that team one after another.

As for the link, that will be used to guarantee both teams are actually equipped with the same stuff/value and it's a fair match. It is also connected to the game itself, and the game will hold all players in place until the game really starts. So it will be easy to actually set up proper matches with fair conditions.

Anyway:
one captain will be okiN, we still need another one. You have to understand that this means you a) know how to play rageball, b) know how to use Teamspeak, and c) use how to connect to the crpg chan in IRC. You will be responsible for your team's tactics and for the communication.

So, for the next hours, we want to know who wants to apply as captain for this epic event. We'll then pick one within the next 8 hours or so. The actual player picking will be done shortly before the match, there's no need to sign up just yet - but write it down on your calendar if you want to attend :)

Also, we would love to get this on camera. So if you have some skills/hardware to actually record this event, it would be highly appreciated. I'm also willing to give out gold for the best recording / teaser movie :)

I would be interested if anyone could record this event too, anyone have contact info for RipperX? A proper Rageball league would be wonderful.

A school I always was goalkeeper for some reason, so I continue being one in Rageball :mrgreen:

Works well on my str polearm guy, not that much with my 15/21 main. I don't want to be captain though. I let that to those that know what really works.

I volunteer for captain. I always showed that i was better than Okin at leading battles and making a strategy. It will just be one more victory for the glory of the champion of Reyvadin. Any steps i should follow to get the opportunity of crushing his team ?

Well overall I would say a movie from one perspective is most likely gonna be a bit one sided, nothing speaks against working together and using the material recorded by multiple people to make one video from way different perspectives.
A single person will hardly be able to catch everything that's going on anyway.
But basically it's completely up to you.

I guess the easiest way for the picking is to join teamspeak. We have everyone in one channel, and both captains can pick one after the other by moving players into their teams channel.

18 CET is 17 utc/gmt.

It will be on the Nditions server. There will be a draft room and one for each of the teams.
Only around 8 people per team hence first come first served to the draft room. If it's locked then it's because there are already enough people.

ok, thanks for everyone who showed up, and sorry to those who couldn't get a spot :)

too bad something messed the spawn for team 1 up, I'll try and figure out what that was. Apart from that, that went pretty smooth.

spawns were kinda unfair, but i think that agi builds are better, since if you can outrun people you have a big advantage.

I was not impressed by the easyness to set such a battle up. Also equipment selection is kinda wonky, I would prefer it to have tabs with item types instead of one humongous alphabetic list.
