Please, bring back ladders in seige, I am forced to take the "commoners path" and it sucks, the archers always know where you are. the whole flanking tactic has been abolished in seige servers. it forces non shielders like me to funnel themselves into archers kill-galore-death-walkway
I understand that in rageball and to a lesser degree battle, ladders are ridiculous and that taking them from that is fair game, but its less fun and less creative not placing your own ladders in seige. It also takes away the ability to practice seige battles in non strategus games, thus making strategus seige battles less preparable.
I would be glad if you took this into consideration and if the ladder revival is impossible, then can you at least include a substitute

According to me, ladders in siege are one of the things that makes the common cRPG-siege (not strategus) better that Native.

But you could use them as a ramp to get on the walls with your horse more often than now.

I thought that the removal of ladders only included battle, and not siege. Ladders in battle are kinda retarded, but ladders in siege is more logic, I mean its a fucking castle, you need to climb up walls, and the default ladders and siege eq. can easly be camped by the enemy so you get spawn killed, place 3 great mauls at the default ladder opening and you got a massacre.

Bring back ladders (adds more variety and encourages tactical approaches), BUT strictly limit them to 3 ladder placements per round.
When those are placed cleverly, they add fun, when they are destroyed, they are gone. Period.
Anything else leads to the freaking ladder spam that we had before...

Yes, I want them back in both siege and battle. Just add them back wisely (limit them, make them indestructable in battle or something to avoid unreachable delaying and such).

My plate charger never work on ladder, it just stop, even if i jump onto the ladder it wont work, it just got stuck.

The thing is, with a coordinating clan using ladders, like I've seen HRE do, they just lay down a straight pathway to the flag which completely unbalances every map to the attackers favour. Still, I like what they add in Siege, but there should be some sort of limit indeed.

True, many attackers, especially two handed or people who has weapon that hold weapon slot 2. Every time they just put a ladder up, charge, then if they die they re going to put up another ladder again. and some smart pants like the HRE you mention, put a ladder straight behind the wall just near the flag. all 10 HRE came, kills everyone, capture the castle in less than 1 minute . The cost of the ladder is only about 7000 and that is not very costy, people can still spam tons of ladders with this low price. would be good to increase it to the same price as CS

Siege can be frustrating with only a few ways to the flag, but then siege always had frustrations.

Until maps are re-worked, re-thinked, re-designed - there should be no ladders in siege.
Crappy maps are being added too often, since just like in other aspects of life - the majority prefers tons of cheap garbage, to a few quality products. 4/5 maps have such a weak design, that ladders and CS totally break the balance, making it much easier for attacker or defenders respectively.

Castles in rotation should only be those that dont have pre set ladders and siege towers, so that only way to enter the castle would be trough player positioned ladders

You are free to set up your own ladder to destroy the ladder bridge.

Is it not better to improvise and make decisions on the fly instead of only to use given patterns?
