As PMed, this is a Quakenet IP block and not from our side.
We only use a channel on the Quakenet IRC Network.
So it's not a ban from our side.

Looks like you randomly got an IP of someone who screwed with the wrong people who run said network.

If you got an dynamic IP that changes after a router reset i would give that a try.

i will have to use a proxy forever to join irc since i can't change my ip. And since my ip is this since ages i don't get how this could be blocked by network admins and why o.O

i like this dual conversation by pm and posts
Most likely they just banned an IP range and you got unlucky.
Proxy should work, you can also get a bouncer which will be on irc all the time and you just connect to that instead of directly the irc network.
Maybe one of the guys who got an irccloud.com account can hit you with an invite, that would make the whole thing a lot easier for you.

That's because FastWeb is a piece of shit. Not only it gives you a static IP, but it shares the same IP between many people (one address, not even a range). When one of them gets IP banned, all of you get banned.

Yeah. You should try connecting again, maybe it's just one server and not the entire network. If it's the latter, I guess you could contact them about it.

You could connect to quakenet via IRCCloud. I have an invite left, can send  it to you. Mind you it's free now because it's in beta, later it's going to cost.
