Title: NO LADDERS!....

wth crpg why is there no ladders almost everyone thinks you should put ladders back in the game. if u dont want them spammed so much just make them take up more slots. dont take out game content..

Removing ladders from battle: Very rarely the ladders were fun when both teams tried to conquer the same roof. In general ladders slow you down so much that carrying them for long is annoying so in most cases this didn't happen, and if enemy already had a foothold on a roof the ladder hp was so low they could easily become inaccessible again if someone planted new ladders.
Result: Removing ladders was mostly a good thing.

Removing ladders from siege: Defending finally isn't just camping the flag in many maps. Some maps are pretty hard for attackers now, but in general the mode is more balanced.
Result: Awesome thing too.

Sure, ladders could've been made high hp / immune to friendly fire or whatever, but really, this makes the game so much more enjoyable instead of the roofcamp fests. Cavalry gets more powerful, but that's just because 90% of footmen - both infantry and archers - are retarded. No sense of surroundings and no-one carrying a spear even if they'd have the 2 slots required for bamboo spear.

I feel that ladders should be in sieges, not in battle. Also, Fire Arrows to take out ladders from range.

You guys are idiots.. Ladders where 1 of the coolest things in crpg.. I was like woah sweet ladders thats awesome!... From the sounds of it your a cav and that's why you hate ladders.. well heres a news flash.. ladders help cav out as well because you can place them to get across gaps or on houses where archers r hiding.. Besides taking them out was a HUGE dissapointment... Im not even a archer ether but in any case it also nerfs archers considering there forced to stand on the ground on most maps and with out formation in mount and blade there sitting ducks for cav..
Only 1 problem came from ladders is jumping into the stands on battle but hey thats easy to fix.

Ladders in battle: nothing but an annoyance.

Ladders in siege: resulted in un-fun, unbalanced maps.  All those stupid "steep hill" siege maps were designed to counter ladder spam because in every flat siege map, you just laddered your way straight to the flag.


I'd like to see ladders brought back but somehow we have to address the problems they caused.

I'm glad they removed the ladders, archers were like metal to magnets when it came to roofs. Here's a picture from after ladder removal, now imagen if ladders were still in game. I say no more...

Found my screenshot of higher ladders than in my previous picture, I believe you still won, but we only had 2 builders :)

Yeah it is hard to beat even with many players because we simply used all ladder types until we reached the limits. And we had admin to ban the assholes who liked to break the ladders.
