Title: cRPG Crashes Post 0.260 Patch
Post by: PhigNewtenz on January 16, 2012, 03:05:20 am
I've been experiencing crashes to desktop at a rate of approximately 5 per hour since the update. Something that was changed has negatively affected the game's stability. I've re-installed cRPG, Warband, and my graphics drivers but the problem isn't resolved.

Is anyone else experiencing this, and can anyone recommend a solution?

Yep, invalid opcode 8.  Me and my brother Balron on two different PC's.  Using the latest launcher.  Esta no bueno.

For those of you getting the op code 8 error, make sure you are running WSE. Starting warband from steam won't work.

Nah, I don't run Warband from Steam, but I figured out what the problem was.  You have to Warband updated to the latest version.  In this case, 1.43.

Found out what was wrong with mine. I got the opcode 8 error as well with rageball. If you have Norton Antivirus, it probably blocked and removed the WSE file in the latest update. To fix this, right click your Norton shortcut thing and view recent activity. Find the WSE loader (should be under High risk) and restore it. (by clicking options then restore after selecting it.) Then run your script enhancer loader thingy. It fixed all my problems. Cheers!
