Title: Need some help on weight's penalty on WPS
Post by: _Tak_ on January 15, 2012, 09:00:54 pm
I have read

Quote
armor weight modified proficiency = base proficiency * (1 - 0.008 * effective armor weight)

and

effective armor weight = 3*head armor weight + body armor weight + leg armor weight + 2*hand armor weight - 7.5

and let say i am going to find the real WPS that i will have left after the calculation.

i want to see which build is better:

i have 180 wps with 9 ath on two handed, and total weight is 16.1. So 16.1 - 7 x 180 = answer? (I am confuse here)

or

i have 130 wps with 10 ath on two handed, total weight = same as above.

which one is better and can someone please explain that calculation to me because my maths is really bad

edit; Also does riding skill decrease the chance for the horse to repair?

180 * (1-0.008 * (16.1-7.5)) = 167,6

130 * (1-0.008 * (16.1-7.5)) = 121,1

Ofcourse the first is better, I believe its about a 3% swing speed difference as a 100 wpf is 6.5%. Is that worth it, I don't know.
