Title: "Your proficiency in bows is too low"???

Hey everyone,

I have a character with S 18 and Power Draw 6, yet when I use my hunting crossbow it says in red "Your proficiency in bows is too low" when the game starts.  My crossbow proficiency is 86.

Does anyone know what the problem is?

Wait a minute.

You are having PD, while using a crossbow?

It won't give you extra damage.

Well, try to increase your crossbow WPF? Should help.

Still, I didn't really hear about people having such trouble, only with throwing.

Ya, I didn't know that PD didn't do anything. When it gave me that message I assumed it meant my PD was too low. I might reset my skills now that I know that. Still...I wonder what the problem is. I guess they think my WP is too low?
